• My view was of the Southside and was spectacular.
• Massage/spa not really top quality.

“The bathroom is very old, bathtub was peeling and floor tiles were cracked. The room is spacious and there is a sofa to relax on instead of the bed. Larger than some European style rooms. Has a mini bar but no coffee service. If there was ice on my floor I could not find it. Overall, a very good experience. A lot of customers from all over the world. Restaurant is not a big seller but convenient and good food.”

• The room upgrade was spectacular.
• I left my hat at the front desk and they did not find it. Oh well.

“Everything about this place is lovely, but the minibar should be colder. Seeing how that's my only complaint, you can rest assured that this hotel comes highly recommended.”

• We felt well taken care of during our stay.
• We had twin beds and the bottom sheet wouldn't stay tucked. I didn't like seeing the mattress.

“We loved everything about the hotel. The hotel has a sleek, manicured look which just makes you feel welcome. The staff were friendly, helpful and competent. We stayed on the 40th floor and the view was spectacular.”

• Well-appointed room and very comfortable bed.
• Location is just fair except for UN; expensive internet access.

“This hotel feels far more luxurious than its three-star rating. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the bed is extremely comfortable. The trade off for being a bit outside the beaten path (unless you're visiting the UN) is that you have amazing views of midtown Manhattan.”

• It was clean and had modern dcor.
• A little far from where we wanted to be.

“Rooms were clean and had modern decor. You could tell it was new within the last couple years. Bed was very comfortable. We had construction going on outside our window which woke us up very early. We asked to move to the other side of the hotel and they moved us right away. Staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• Room had a gorgeous view.
• Not quite as convenient location.

“Superb service. Reception attended to us right away when we arrived, even though we were early and set us up in a suite which had two levels and a beautiful view of the UN park next to the river. This hotel is well staffed and attentive to your needs. Would definitely stay here again.”

• Had to decline the Sunday Brunch, outrageous pricing.

• The bathroom had peeling paint and some of the fixtures needed to be re-caulked.

• The view over the East River was spectacular.
• Can't think of a thing.

“The hotel was wonderful. The desk clerk upgraded us to a lovely corner room, and the view was amazing. The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were only a couple of blocks from Grand Central Station and the subway. It was perfect.”

• There was no coffee maker in the room. I would have appreciated free WiFi.

• The staff was excellent. Very accommodating and helpful! The view was amazing!
• The room decor was a bit outdated. The bathroom needed some repairs. The TV volume was too low when a/c running.

“This hotel is beautiful! It is conveniently located and very secure. The views are breathtaking and the staff is very attentive. The rooms fell a bit short of my expectation and look different than the room you see via virtual tour. The bathroom was a bit dated with some need of repair attention. The TV volume was a bit too low with the a/c on and no way to increase the volume. The lounge is beautiful with an extremely attentive staff. The hotel is very clean and attractive.”

• The views were amazing from the hotel room. The staff were very friendly.
• It's a bit out of the buzz of New York.

“The hotel rooms that we had were spacious, comfortable and very clean. The greeting we received from the staff was warm and friendly. Leisure area was good but the swimming pool was very cold and a little run down.”

• The hotel put us in a better room without any hassle, management was great.
• The first room we were in was so disgusting, stains, sink did not work.

“The hotel should not put guests in the wing that has not been renovated. The first room we were in was so gross, stained dust ruffle, sink was leaking, etc. but, they did resolve the problem without any difficulty. They moved us to the renovated wing.”

• The view was incredible. The staff was personable, friendly and helpful. The concierge recommended a great restaurant.
• Water pooled around my feet in the tub.

The pool on the 27th floor had a touch of glamour and the adjacent locker/sauna facility was neat and well-appointed. It's a short walk from grand central. My family is begging to return.”

• Furnishings and pluming are showing their age.

“We spent a long weekend at the Millennium UN Plaza, and were very happy with the room at the price we paid, but the hotel was showing some age. The furnishings in the room were somewhat worm, and the drains in the bathroom were quite slow. This was more than made up for by the genuinely helpful staff, and the gorgeous views from the bedroom window. The location of the hotel is convenient if you plan to travel solely by car or taxi, but it is a bit of a walk to the nearest Subway at Grand Central Station.”

• A bit out of the way. Older bathroom fixture in the shower.

“Loved this hotel. We were on the 38th floor, in a corner room, and it was just a magnificent view! Took my 14 year old for the first time to NY. The hotel helped it to be a wonderful trip! The concierge gave us very helpful information (and a great walking map). All the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bit out of the way from where we were most of the time (Time Square and Rockefeller Center areas), but the walk wasn't so bad, and taking the bus back was easy and convenient. I'd recommend this hotel.”

• The showerhead was removable! I love that!
• The lobby had too many mirrors and the bathrooms close at midnight.

• Our room was upgraded and the view was fantastic.
• The bathroom sink leaked.

“We had an amazing view of the NYC Skyline from the 32nd floor after our room was upgraded. The furnishings and bedding were up to date and attractive. I did find that the mattress was too firm for my taste. The bathroom, though spacious, was not in very good repair and the sink leaked out from underneath. The staff was very nice.”

• It was inconveniently located for my travel needs.

“For a one night stay in the city, this hotel was perfect. The front desk clerk offered to upgrade our room since we were only staying one night. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was large compared to other hotels we've stayed at in the city and the view of the east river was amazing. The decor in the room was a little outdated but still very nice. Most important, it was clean.”

• Great hotel. The front desk agent who checked me in gave me a great room for my 5th year anniversary.
• Nothing. Great experience.

• Hotel staff was excellent.
• The bed in our room was very hard.

“We stayed at the hotel two nights. The first night we stayed in a room with a very hard bed. My husband spoke to the gentleman at the desk about it and he offered to upgrade us to a better room. We were thrilled with the room the second night and overall we had a wonderful stay.”
