• Great location, nice size room.
• Cheap linens, TV, artwork.

“Could not have asked for a better location for our first trip to NYC. The hotel is nice but lacks the finishing touches I expected from a 4-star hotel. The towels and bed linens were cheap, the very small television was outdated and in need of repair, and the artwork left a lot to be desired (looked like cheaply framed posters).”

• Unusually high quality furnishings, huge bathroom, lots of tile and granite.
• Bathroom condition was fair, WiFi is expensive, none of my favorite TV channels.

“I would say this is a very clean, comfortable place to stay, and stay again. Bed, furnishings very high quality. I usually stay at 2-3 star hotels, but this 4-star was no better in any way, so I give it 3. Internet worked fine, but $13/day is high. Bathroom was huge, especially for NY, but water flow at sink was low (had a restrictor installed)- I usually washed my hands at the bathtub- much faster to rinse! Wallpaper in bathroom had lots of stains, but not so terrible. No blow dryer, no coffee machine. Not really luxurious. Location was fine, if you like TS. Ingress/egress/subway was very good.”

• The lobby is cramped and the room was small.

“The room was nice overall, but space was tight. In fact, the bathroom was bigger than needed but the beds (not quite double) were small and little room to move in the room. I had a quiet rooms, great feat in New York City.”

• The friendliness of the bell staff and concierge.
• It took 1.5 hours to get ice. If they won't let us get it they need to be more responsive.

“This is a great location and enough off of Times Square to give you a breather from the crowds. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We left something behind and were pleased to find it was saved a day later.”

• The size of the room was great! Friendly & helpful staff!
• The room had an older TV, no microwave, or refrigerator.

“We did enjoy our stay. It was located in a convenient location. Within walking distance to everything. The hotel restaurant was a little pricy for breakfast, we did not eat there after that. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful. The appearance of the hotel was very pretty inside. Our room was not very pretty, but it was a nice size.”

• Room was too small, furnishings worn, $35/night for old rollaway bed.

“Overall, a great location and an excellent staff. The fitness center was well furnished and the lobby area is classy. The hotel room itself was very small but had a great view. We needed a rollaway bed for our teenage and were charged $35/night for it. It was a lousy bed with the springs sticking through and when I complained to the front desk staff about it, they removed the charges from our bill. I think the staff is this hotel's greatest asset.”

• Peeling wallpaper in bathroom with mold growing on the wall.

“This was far from a 4-star hotel. Although the location was great, the hallways were dirty. There was broken glass in the hallway of the 26th floor that stayed there for 3 days. Our bathroom had peeling wallpaper with mold growing on the walls. I would not give this hotel 2 stars. The only 4 star part of this hotel was the lobby.”

• Sticker shock on New York prices.

“Excellent location for walking to Times Square and theater district. Large, clean room. Fun view of the city. Couldn't get 2 rooms on same floor the first night, they moved us during the day next day, and it worked out fine.”

“This is one of the best Hotels in Manhattan for a short weekend trip. Everything is nearby or a short cap ride away. It is located directly between all three major airports (JFK, LGR, NWK). My room was small and not particularly appointed as nice as the high price would expect. However you are paying for this location.”

• It was convenient to all of the things we were interested in doing.
• The bed was too hard.

“It was at least as good as we expected. The room was lovely. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the evening cocktail hour with wine, beer and snacks. It was right in the Theatre District so we were able to walk where ever we went and save money on taxi fare and time on sitting in traffic.”

“Hotel was dark. Decor in public space, decor in room, had to change rooms due to dirty carpet, check in space was darkly lit, staff was friendly. Will stay away from Times Square area. Prefer other areas of Manhattan.”

• The room was very large for the location and beautifully furnished. Also very clean.
• Linens were not close to luxury. One of three times I visited the front desk, staff was rude.

“Very good location, the restaurant is great. If you are going to the theatre or shopping it couldn't be more convenient. The rooms are large and well appointed, but the linens were disappointing.”

• Location of the hotel is great. Easy access to subway.
• Arrived at 7 am, did not allow early check.

“When I arrived at 7 AM, front desk did not allow me to early check in. The guy wanted me to pay $175 for an early check in. Anyways, by 11 am, I was finally able to get a room when I asked again.”

• The concierge was fabulous! I would definitely stay at the hotel again because of him.
• The bedspread had stains on the underside.

“Great location! The concierge was unbelievably helpful. The sink leaked and the TV wasn't plugged in at first but the problems were fixed immediately. Staff, in general, was very nice.”

“Good location by Time square. Friendly staff. Wall paint chipping off. Leaking bathroom causing water dripping sound when people taking bath upstairs and woke me up 6 AM in the morning, very annoying. Not a 4-star hotel. I'd say 3-star more appropriate. Most room do not have two double bed, so pay attention if you travel with family.”

• Not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. I've stayed at nicer 3 stars.

“The best part about this hotel is it's fantastic location. Otherwise, I don't believe it is a 4 star hotel. I judge a lot about the room by whether it's comfortable to walk around barefoot. This room was not even close. Hotel management take note: Change the carpet in the rooms! Update rooms as necessary! I have stayed at nicer hotels.”

“I was looking for a business hotel in close proximity to Times Square, and the Millennium Broadway fit that need to a tee. The price was high, but that seems to be the norm for NYC this year. The internet access is $12.95 additional, just another indication of the local market doing whatever profit-taking it can. The room was somewhat dated but the bed was very comfortable. Cable TV was only adequate dated set and fuzzy reception. Service was okay. I did not eat in the hotel so no comment there.”

• Excellent location, room was very spacious for Manhattan, friendly staff.
• The bed was too hard and we had some technical difficulties with the TV.

“Great location, very friendly staff. Good sized corner room which was a premium room. We were disappointed in the uncomfortable bed and the technical difficulties with the TV (the remote would only work about half the time to turn it off, the reception was stat icky until we fixed it ourselves by manipulating the cable wire into the right position).”

• Breakfast buffet was way over priced. Parking was very expensive.

• Location was fantastic.
• We were unable to had 2 double beds even though we called prior to our arrival! Staff was rude about it.

“If you are looking for a great location and are not concerned with a staff of no-so-friendly, New Yorkers. This is great. The room itself was nice, with a mild musty odor. The bath products are nice. Be prepared to be unable to upgrade to 2 double beds even if you prearrange it. I slept on an uncomfortable cot.”

• After being there a week. I had to ask 3 times for a 2 PM checkout instead of a noon one.

“Customer service horrible. I called at 2 AM in the evening the night before my checkout and asked for a 2 PM check instead of the noon. One A whole two hours out of the week stay; and the guys said he could not do it; but the day manager would call me at 8 AM. I said no don't call me just leave him a note please to tell him what I want. I woke up early so worried I would get fined so I did not sleep well. Then when I called at 11 AM to ask for the extra 2 hours they had no idea about my request; and said they could only give me an hour. That is not 4 star hotel acting.”

• Well located with smoking rooms and double rooms were available.
• Expensive restaurant and sundry items, locked one entrance at night so you have to walk the block, maids scream at 9 AM everyday. Cant sleep in this hotel.

“Well located, but not really a 4 star quality hotel. Restaurant food was awful and expensive. I suggest the Red Flame down the street for breakfast, the deli across the street for lunch and Carmine's for dinner.”
