“Pleasant stay. I was quite surprised however, that this airport hotel did not have a free airport shuttle. 4 pounds, $8 in the current exchange rate, is way to much to go less than 2 miles.”

• Easy to find - just look for the jail next door!
• The hotel is next to a jail or detention centre - didn't feel safe: parking process was difficult.

“Called for directions and we were told to look out for the detention center with the barbed wire and the hotel would be located right beside. The rooms were the basic size of a British hotel. They weren't really clean, we found clumps of hair in the bathroom. There aren't a lot of restaurants in the area - we walked a block to an Asian restaurant. All was good until we saw 2 rats on its front lawn. In order to leave the parking lot, we had to validate our ticket with the front desk every time. This was really inconvenient especially when there were long line ups or the first validation didn't work. All in all a disappointment for a Sheraton Hotel.”

• Room was quite spacious, well laid out, amenities ample, bed & bedding comfy!
• Mould was evident at mixer faucet/spigot on tub in both rooms stayed or visited. Tub bath revealed all.

“Our room was super comfortable, airy and spacious. Staff was very helpful and the bedding can only be bested by Arora Park Hotel also at Heathrow. Light was excellent, fridge well stocked. But beware, sensors will count any item in fridge which is moved and you will be charged. Also watch bills for double charges when using internet. Staff was excellent at removing over charges quickly. Internet access is too expensive and wireless access was not available in our room. All in all, we had a lovely, relaxing four night stay before flights back to Scotland for one and USA for the other.”

• Room was comfortable and well appointed.
• The only negative that I noticed was very limited TV channel selection.

“Unfortunately due to flight delays I spent only about 5 hours in this hotel. However, it was convenient, comfortable, and clean. I would like to have had the opportunity to experience more of what this hotel has to offer. Maybe next time.”

• The internet facility should not cost anything to the guest for this star level.

“I went there to spend time with my boyfriend and had a really great experience. The bedroom was clean, neat and housekeeping was very helpful in accommodating things I had forgotten.”

• Shabby, torn carpet. Need to replace!

“Good hotel near airport. Was surprised that it did not offer free shuttle transportation to and from airport. The first impression of the hotel, lobby and rooms is not good due to worn and ripped carpet, but the hotel dinner was excellent and room was clean and very comfortable.”

“The hotel met the expectations of a Sheraton, but a police person told us the neighborhood was one you would not want to go walking in at night. No ice machines and ordering ice took 45 minutes.”

• The rooms were very nice and the restaurant was reasonably priced with good food.
• Internet access was not free.

“This is a fine hotel close to Heathrow Airport. We stayed here the night before flying back to the US and ate dinner here too. The lounge was reasonably priced and the sandwiches were good and filling. It was also fairly easy to get to from the airport. You take a shuttle that costs 4 pounds per person.”

• Staff was great and the hotel is very presentable.
• Location for a tourist is not recommended.

“The hotel is very presentable and the staff is exceptional. The rooms although not spacious, were nice. The bed was very comfortable. For a U.S. traveler with our economy the exchange was extremely poor. Movies were 9.95 pounds and the internet the same. This is an airport hotel so you have to either take buses or the Subway to get to Central London which is about 15 miles away.”

“it's disgusting that they don't have a decent internet access. It was a nightmare for a business traveler like me. Their broadband access speed was a joke. I might have lost business because I could not respond in time. The front desk guy was pleasant enough to understand the frustration and take the charges off.”

• Internet connection was expensive, not good for business travelers.

• Easy to check-in. Room very nice and clean.
• These people add a one pound donation for UNICEF to the bill with out asking if that is something we would like to purchase. Very tacky.

• Very convenient to Heathrow.
• Parking was limited, Internet access cost extra.

“By English standards, this was quite a nice hotel. I think that in the US people would complain about having to walk so far to a room because they closed off the whole hallway for renovation. Similarly, other up market hotels in which I have stayed in the US do not charge for using the business center computers for Internet access. There were no empty parking spaces when I arrived but I found one later. Still, this hotel met my needs and I am not complaining. I would stay again.”

• The long walk to our room, all fairness hotel did post under construction signs stating redecorating.

“Clean and close to the airport, no restaurants close by so if you do not have a car its inconvenient, they serve food there but its expensive. Did not like the charge of 5 pounds for 15 minutes of internet use, too high.”

“I would recommend this hotel for people traveling on business and fro families who need to stay near the airport before flying out of Heathrow. The meals served at the hotel costs more than the quality offered and there was not a lot of variety on the room service menu.”

• The items that made the room feel cozy and luxurious: nice toiletry items, feather pillows and comforter, sample magazines, tea pot, cork screw.
• Although it is the way at the Heathrow Airport hotels - in North America we are used to free shuttle buses.

“We totally enjoyed our stay here. As an added bonus West Drayton has a fabulous 15th century old pub called the Whitehorse Pub. Great food and atmosphere.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The non-smoking room smelled like smoke and although I was able to switch rooms the replacement also smelled.

“Our stay was ok but the bathroom was not clean as in hair (from a previous occupant ugh) in the tub and floor. Furniture in room was in poor condition (i.e. table was lopsided) carpets were dirty and we had a "lovely" view of a prison from our window (we later found out it was an immigration detention center) complete with high electrical fences and bars on windows. This proved to be a little unsettling to my 9 year old. Housekeeping also kept leaving a stray pillow case that did not belong to any of our pillows, lying around. The first day it was left on top of a pile of my sons clothes and the next day there was another left between the sheets of my made bed which I encountered when I got into bed stuffed at the end of the bed. (This could have just been a laundry error but the initial pillowcase was just dumped and forgotten (we had requested that they not change the sheets daily so this pillowcase was not from the beds in our room). The hotel room did not look at all like the pictures from the hotel website.”

• The bed was awesome.
• The hotel's prices for additional services were obscene, even by UK standards.

“A well maintained hotel with comfortable rooms. But the $30 breakfast, the $30 Wi-fi charge, and the marked up minicab really put me off, since the hotel is a $8 bus ride to Heathrow and there are no other alternatives to hand. The hotel abuses its captive audience.”

• 10 minute shuttle service ride to Heathrow airport.
• Over-priced for a 2 star. Old rooms in need of updating, poor lighting, but as expected quality for a 2 star.

“As expected, no surprises. I was in need of something close to Heathrow airport for 1 night and wanted it cheap so I booked a 2 star. The lobby, lifts, and bar are clean and fine, but the room was dark and old looking/smelling. Again what I expected for a 2 star, however, was over-priced for the room quality.”

• The hotel concierge was very knowledgeable.
• Hotel does not provide its own shuttle bus from and to the airport.

“My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. It¿s very close to the airport and at the same time to the nearest subway station - or the tube as the English like to call it. Getting to central London is a fair bit of ride via the tube but it gives you an opportunity to see London on the way. The hotel staff was also knowledgeable about the area and how to get around.”

• Under major re-modeling, we did not know.

“The floor we were on had major re-modeling. There was lot of dust and stripped walls in the hallways. You could actually smell the paint and dust in the hallways. The manager could not offer a suitable alternative to the room. We would not have stayed there if we had known.”

• The hotel staff was very friendly and was able to get me into a room relatively quickly, considering I arrived at the hotel very early in the morning.
• The hotel is fairly far removed from London itself, and I found that some of the amenities cost more than expected.

“The room was very clean, and the hotel staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. They were able to direct me to my next destination in London very easily, and took care of my (very heavy) luggage while I was waiting for a room. The room was clean and well taken care of, and also included a 110V US power plug, as well as several UK power outlets and a European power outlet. The food in the hotel restaurant was good, and the waitress was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has a carry over at London Heathrow and needs a quick and comfortable place to stay!”

• This hotel met American 3+ star hotels levels in every way.
• Once you turn in a rental car, you have to ride the Hotel Hoppa.

“The downstairs reception area has a lovely bar area with drinks and bar snacks. Folks were friendly and the room was very comfortable and even had wash cloths.”
