  • I was spoken rudely to when I called with a question about my room before arriving.

“I try and stay at this hotel each time I come to Boston because of it's location and comfort. I recommend it to people who are coming to Boston as the place to stay. I was bothered by the way the front person spoke to me but the rest of the staff during my stay was very helpful and very kind and I soon forgot all about the other person.”

  • Wonderful location, with a gorgeous view and super access to the airport.
  • The food in the dining room was overpriced for the quality, and the WiFi should be free.

“Lovely newer hotel with a spectacular view of Downtown Boston across the harbor. Friendly staff, great shuttle to the airport and subway. Directly at the water taxi dock. Top notch all the way.”

  • 4:30 AM shuttle to airport was overcrowded.

“Great hotel in a great location. My only concerns were that internet connection was $9.95 a day (no free WiFi) and that the menu was over the top expensive. For example, the morning buffet was $25.00. Travelers with family can do the math.”

“We have stayed here before and were very pleased. This time our expectations were far from being met. The pool had no towels. The workout room was dirty, no water to drink, no cups and no headphones for the machines. My daughter left some clothes in the dresser at checkout and by the time we went back (few hours later) to get them; they had been stolen by an employee of the hotel; housekeeping.”

  • Only one restaurant, no coffee shop, too expensive for breakfast, no inexpensive options.

“This hotel is quite convenient to Logan Airport, with very good 24 hour shuttle service. The room was spacious with nice bathroom facilities and a comfortable bed. TV was a bit dated (older model) and coffee service was not up to par, only one cup's amount provided and not enough cream. However, only true downside really was the restaurant in the lobby. The prices were quite high - about $3.50 for a cup of coffee and breakfast items in the $17 to $28 range if you wanted anything but yogurt or oatmeal. There was no Ala Carte Menu. I would stay here again, but check out early and go over to Logan for breakfast!”

  • It was rather far from everything else in terms of location.

“The hotel staff was friendly and when we asked for a room on the higher floors, they complied. Our only regret about the hotel was its location. To eat reasonably priced food, we had to go back to the airport. The internet cost was too high. There was no lotion and no wash cloth in our room. It cost us time to be going back and forth from the airport. The hotel offers free shuttle service, which is great.”

“I love this hotel, but the room I stayed in the shower had black mold in some of the tile, the vent was really dirty and about to fall out missing one screw and the other one didn't fit the vent. Although the view is amazing it just wasn't up to par this trip, and as always the parking fee is outrageous.”

  • It's difficult to find something positive.
  • Sticky, wet carpet, terrible location, lobby is depressing, staff not very helpful.

“This hotel is not in a great location. It is not walking distance to anything, so you must take a cab, or pay to park in the hotel garage, which is fairly expensive. The room had an odd smell and the carpet was wet and slightly sticky. They must have tried cleaning it, but shouldn't have rented the room that night. The lobby has no furniture. The staff was generally polite, but not overly helpful. If you want to stay in Cambridge, stay downtown, not in this hotel.”

  • Not thrilled with the service at the restaurant.

“I wanted something located at the airport because I had an early morning flight. Imagine my surprise to open the drapes in my room and see this fabulous panorama of Boston Harbor and the city skyline. I had dinner on the open patio, which was pricey but not out of line. However, the service at dinner was not up to par with the rest of the establishment. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat anyway.”

  • Shuttle service to airport was poorly run. Too many people, too few seats.

“Top notch accommodations and food. Breath taking view of Boston Harbor. Room was spacious and beds were cushy with down type coverlet and pillows. Bathroom was nicely appointed. Tub/shower needed some repair and or cleaning of grout. Even so, overall a place to stay that made you feel pampered.”

  • Free shuttle to/from the airport & subway, courteous staff, nice view of the harbor, spacious rooms.
  • Pricey restaurant for so-so food.

“A nice place to stay whether crashing the night before a flight or spending a few days in town. The convenience of the shuttle to the Subway makes it an easy trip to the local flavor. Our room was spacious and clean (though the bathroom could use a deep cleaning to remove the mold in the shower) and an excellent value. A return stay would be in the future.”

  • The staff was amazing. Every request was met with a smile. They could not do enough for us.
  • The pool is not up to standard at all.

“If you are staying at this hotel you can expect to have a great view and a nice harbor stroll on the walk outside. This hotel knows how to treat their guest. I was visiting my sick mom and the hotel went out of their way to make our pleasant. They even gave my kids stuffed lobster animals because they said their nana was sick. Wow, the pool may not be great but you can not beat the personable staff at this hotel. From the bellmen, to the front desk, housekeeping and the managers all know how to treat a guest like royalty. However, the food in the hotel is very pricey. One other thing you can walk down stairs and take a water taxi to Boston. It will let you off at the Aquarium which is near everything else.”

  • Need overhaul of restaurant staff - terrible service - 3 hrs.
  • Wait staff had not clue what they were doing - poor service in restaurant.

“The hotel was wonderful. Beautiful location. Everyone was complaining about the restaurant staff - no one knew what they were doing. The staff was walking back and forth with empty tables and parties were waiting for up to 3 hours without even a drink order. Poor management in restaurant. Hotel was supposed to call us as they had a list of unhappy customers but we have not heard from them.”

  • They have plenty of parking space but charge outrageous amounts to park, even self park!

“I am a business traveler and come to Boston once a month. This is the first time I stayed at this hotel. From the time I walked in I was extremely happy. The service was great but the view was unbelievable! Other than the extremely ridiculous self parking price, this hotel is the tops for comfort and an amazing view!”

  • Very slow shuttle service. We waited over an hour even after several calls to the hotel.

“Beautiful location but every time I stay the shuttle bus - no matter what time of day - takes a very long time. Also, the rooms are noisy if you arrive late and plan to sleep in. Ask for a room far from the elevators and ice machines. A good to know item, if the shuttle is taking longer than 20 minutes, the hotel will reimburse for a cab.”

“At check-in, I was given the choice of a King room on a smoking floor or a double bed on a non-smoking floor. I chose the double bed. This room was obviously intended for a single person. There was only one wash cloth (but two towels) and one each feather and cotton pillow. This facility advertises triple pane windows to keep the noise from the airport down. That was successful; however, there is no sound suppression to the hallway. We heard every conversation from people in the hallway, every ding from the elevator, and every time someone used the ice machine. When we first walked into the room, there was a used pillow case (or something) wadded up on the shelf next to the bed? Lots of hairs in the tub and bathroom. This is one of those places that charges for everything "extra" including parking and internet.”

  • The shuttle service was accommodating (for the most part) and is less than 10 minutes from the airport.
  • They did not provide the guest with washcloths and the TV was not updated.

“A comfortable place near the airport that offers many services from a friendly and helpful staff. The only inconvenience is that you cannot walk to the nearest Subway station--for all the independents, reliance on a complimentary shuttle service is mandatory. Overall, a wonderful place to relax and rest your head.”

“Of the two 4 star hotels at Boston Logan Airport, the Hyatt does not compare to other hotel. The lobby/rooms are outdated and we could smell cigarette smoke on the floor even though we were in a non-smoking room. However, the rooms were clean. The hotel restaurant prices are extremely over-priced, although the food was good when we had to eat there in a pinch. As with the Hilton, there is a shuttle available to the airport/subway.”
