“Old hotel which means that the rooms are a little small. Shower was great but bathroom also very small. Over all the hotel was great.” Sep 18, 2005 by

Becky from Adams, MA
“Great location, helpful staff. Hotel is old and it shows a little but room was clean and neat. Comfortable beds & pillows. Walls are thin and therefore a little loud when people walk by at all hours of the night. Definitely would stay again.” Aug 29, 2005 by
Michelle from Westland, MI
“It is a upgrade hotel that is located in the center of Boston. The staff are very friendly and I enjoyed the historical look of the hotel” Aug 28, 2005 by

“Lovely hotel. However, if you are a tourist, I'd recommend a waterfront hotel for shorter walks. This was very convenient to the subway.” Aug 17, 2005 by
Stephen from Portland, ME
“Excellent location, very friendly staff, many restaurants and theatres in the area. All combine to make this a convenient place to stay.” Aug 16, 2005 by
Lisa from Kingsport, TN
“We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was ideally located for walking to all sites we wanted to see in Boston. It was also close to the subway for the sites too far to walk to. Our room was very spacious.” Aug 15, 2005 by
Shawna from Torrington, CT
“The staff was helpful and professional. The location is near Legal Seafood which a great restaurant. There was a lot of entertainment in the hotel with a health center and salon.” Aug 12, 2005 by
Dona from Livermore, CA
“We booked our room at the $75/room price & were delighted to get it. While we were checking in we listed to the people who were checking out; not happy. Our receptionist offered us the chance to upgrade to the Concierge level for a mere $60 more with tons of amenities and it was a truly great experience. Bathrobes, bottled water, concierge great breakfast, snakiest at night, immaculate room and turn down service replete with chocolates on the pillow. We loved it.” Aug 12, 2005 by
Lois from Wilmington, NC
“It was cool and as good as you can get.” Aug 8, 2005 by
Brian from Timonium, MD
“When I started the water for the shower, the tub filled due to a clogged drain. I was able to remove the cap for the drain, which was similar to ones at home. I pulled a 6" wad of hair and gunk from the drain. It was disgusting, and I cannot understand why maintenance was not done on this room.” Aug 8, 2005 by
Molly from Allston, MA “Good ambience, friendly staff, typical hotel amenities. Great location, half a block from the T stop and the Public Garden. Good restaurants next door.” Aug 4, 2005 by
Neil from Berlin, CT
“The Boston Park Plaza is a very good value for a 3 star hotel in Boston.” Aug 3, 2005 by
Chad from Bermuda, CA
“Great location. Concierges were very knowledgeable and friendly. The lobby and facilites were very impressive with really good restaurants in the building. We had an eigth floor outer room with an unobstructed view which was also spacious. I would return any time.” Aug 3, 2005 by
Chuck from Erie, PA
“It was THE Park Plaza in Boston. Right next to Boston Commons, and certainly within walking distance of every major site.” Aug 2, 2005 by
Melanie from Norman, OK
“The hotel was centrally located. It was historical (On the register of Historical hotels), in that all 43 Presidents have stayed there....it was the 1st hotel in the U.S. to have electricity, a phone, and a bathroom in each room. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was slightly noisy late at night....sirens were loud....even though we were on the 12th floor.” Jul 28, 2005 by
Marilyn from Houston, TX
“It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was great. It is a convention hotel and so was a little crowded at times. Our room was small but looking at the price, we can't complain. It is right across from the Gardens and so close to restaurants, the Freedom Trail, etc. We would definitely stay there again.” Jul 26, 2005 by
Shelly from Spring, TX
“The lobby was beautiful and the room was decorated very nicely. I was especially impressed with the information that the concierge gave me in regard to tours. The location was also great. My only real complaint is that the air conditioning was inadequate to keep our room cool enough!” Jul 25, 2005 by
Debbie from North Canton, OH “A great hotel in a convenient location for the freedom trail and shopping.” Jul 25, 2005 by
Bruce from Brentwood, TN
“After multiple calls, a friendly maintenance staffer fixed the a/c at 12:00 a.m. (several rooms were having problems). That combined with a broken TV, no shampoo, and no iron made for an unsatisfactory experience. ” Jul 25, 2005 by
Oliver from Putney, VT
“The Park Plaza is a great hotel. It's old-world quality, no glitz, no chrome, no plastic. Although it is centrally located, the immedidate environs of the hotel itself is a little bit unglamorous, but it's only a block from the Public Garden, which is probably the jewel of Boston. One of my favorites anyway.” Jul 24, 2005 by
Pam from Albion, ID
“After finding that Boston Park Plaza was the hotel I had booked, I called to make arrangements for my room. I was promised in May that I would have two double beds. I called again the week of my trip and was again told that my room would have two beds. When we arrived, we had one bed with no help at all from the hotel people. ” Jul 23, 2005 by
Bonnie from Greenwood, IN
“Overall OK experience for the price I paid. Great location, close to park and Freedom Trail, surrounded by good restaurants, beautiful lobby, felt safe. Room I stayed at first time OK (5th floor), second time not OK (10th floor). Older hotel and walls thin so where they put you is impt or room noisy. Hotel staff should improve in customer service skills, not very friendly or helpful. Rooms small and dark, need better lighting, good cleaning, and new carpet.” Jul 22, 2005 by
Andrew S. from Loudonville, NY
“This hotel was excellent. the staff was very helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel it was quiet and my girlfriend and I immensely enjoyed it.” Jul 20, 2005 by
Mike from Chicago, IL
“Nothing worked, internet, my phone and the staff could care less - they never followed through on their promises to help fix the problem.” Jul 18, 2005 by
Randy from Mayfield, NY
“Very nice great location.” Jul 7, 2005 by
Linda from Stratford, CT
“The hotel was beautiful... the lobby, bar, and restaurant. But the staff not always friendly, or accomodating. One night I was able to bring up food to my room from the bar... the next night, (a different bartender) I was told that wasn't allowed... (My husband wasn't feeling well, and had retired early, and room service would have disturbed him.) I had two rooms which were both supposed to be double beds. Only one was, which I understand they didn't have another available. But in the 5 nights that we were there... didn't one become available??? So, I requested a cot, which they brought to me at no extra charge...but the room was SO SMALL, there was nowhere it would fit without either blocking the door or the bathroom! We had to take the matttress off the cot, and wedge it between the bed and the closet! And $36/night for parking, I believe is too much, even for Boston! HOWEVER, the location of the hotel is Great, and it was VERY clean.. For the same price, I would stay there again... but without the kids, so the size of the rooms wouldn't matter.” Jul 7, 2005 by
Lou from Santa Rosa, CA
“This is a very well located hotel where you can walk to many things. The hotel is very impressive with a fantastic lobby and terrific staff. Rooms are somewhat small compared to other hotels.” Jul 6, 2005 by
Meghann from Crofton, MD
“This hotel did not live up to it's description. The staff were rude and disorganized. Our room was not ready when we arrived an hour after regular check in time. They then tried to put us in a room with no beds, only pull out couches. The rooms were okay, and the bathrooms were old but functional. I was disappointed and was glad to move to another hotel later in the week.” Jul 5, 2005 by
Zeke from Silver Spring, MD
“We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.” Jul 5, 2005 by
Mike from Greenleaf, WI
“It's an old, historic hotel, but it's nice. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others. It's close to Newberry Street, a T stop, and Boston Common.” Jul 1, 2005 by
Delia from Kansas City, MO
“It is convenient to walk anywhere downtown.” Jun 30, 2005 by
Kathy from Sacramento, CA
“Our 14th floor room was small, but adequate, with a Lovely city view. Although once eloquent, it now needed some paint and cleaning. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. Each time we called the desk, someone arrived within moments to fix the A/C, provide us with a remote control, or bring us linens. (The towels and wash cloths magically disappeared every time the maid was there.) We don't spend much time in hotel rooms when we travel. So for us, it was just fine. We thought the personable staff and the fabulous location of the building offset the minor inconveniences. And besides, the price was right!” Jun 30, 2005 by
Darren from Huntington Beach, CA
“Like I mentioned, the hotel's location is great. Walking distance to T, boston commons, theatre district, newberry avenue. The lobby was very nice in appearnace and the hotel had nice restaurants. The only thing that was dissapointing was the room conditions. Although we had the thermostat at 64, it probably got no colder than 68. And when its really hot outside, you can tell the difference. Also, the pull-down blinds didn't keep all the light out of the room. The bedding had stains and the room's furniture and appearnace looked old.” Jun 30, 2005 by
Gina from Clinton Twp., MI
“I would stay again. Very clean. We spent quite a bit of time in the lobby bar where the staff were very friendly.” Jun 29, 2005 by
Melba from Milledgeville, GA
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Boston. Very convenient to the train. Great restaurants in the hotel as well as in a few blocks . The concierge desk was grat. The Best Boston Red Sox tickets in town, good car rental when needed and always a good suggestion for a perfect restaurant in town or in North End. Also helped work out all plans for Marthas Vineyard. The room was well appointed, wonderful plush bedding and a good view. Small bathroom but very elegant.” Jun 29, 2005 by
Ann from Arlington Hts, IL
“Overall, this hotel was nice, and convenient to the T. However, the bathroom are tiny and the showers are even smaller.” Jun 28, 2005 by
Ray from Stockton, CA
“The location of the Boston Park Plaza is great. There are restaurants and shops near by, and it is 1 block away from the Arlington subway stopon the Green Line, which is very convenient. However, the room was fairly small, and our air conditioner leaked. We didn't realize this when we checked in so we placed our luggage next to it, consequently my luggage and some of its contents were soaking wet. We stayed in the hotel for 8 days...for the entire 8 days, the rug around the air conditioner was soaking wet.” Jun 28, 2005 by
Marian from Apopka, FL “I purchased my room 3/19/05 for my stay on 6/15/2005 (I live in Florida). When I arrived at the Boston Park Plaza they would NOT honor my purchase/reservation;they said they were full & had no room for me !!!!!! ” Jun 28, 2005 by
Paul from Monroe, WA
“Although classified as a 3-star, Boston Park Plaza was a much nicer hotel than many hotels listed as 4-stars by Priceline. The staff was helpful and willing to accomodate most of our requests. The hotel itself was very luxurious, with a beautiful lobby and nice guestrooms. It is in a great downtown location, close to main subway lines and all the main Boston attractions. There are also numerous restaurants located within short walking distance. It was the nicest hotel we have visited for the price, and probably the best overall value in Boston or any other major city for that matter.” Jun 25, 2005 by
Kathleen from Yucca Valley, CA
“The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the Boston area. The room, although small, was very functional and the bed was comfortable.” Jun 25, 2005 by
Paulla from Clayton, NC
“I would not stay here again if I did not have to be in downtown Boston. The rooms were old and we had a smoking room that had a bad odor. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. But at least they had well marked exits.” Jun 25, 2005 by
Blaine from Vancouver, WA
“Great location if you cannot decide between midtown and times square, but the hotel it self was very dirty. Numerous stains throughout the common areas and in our room. We were also lacking in many common immenities (coffee, tv stations, etc).” Jun 24, 2005 by
Ramesh from Palm Beach Gardens, FL
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Boston-close to shopping, theaters, parks, and resturant. Public transportation available opp to hotel.” Jun 23, 2005 by
Michelle from Copley, OH
“Beautiful hotel and great staff located approximately 2 blocks from Boston Commons where you can enjoy a leisurely Swan Boat ride and walk around the grounds, a casual 10- 15 minute walk to Cheers, and a quick walk to the Boyleston "T" (subway) stop. We took a free shuttle from the airport to the "T" terminals and only transferred one time at the government center and ended our ride very close to the hotel all for 1.25 each person. It took approximately 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel. Better than cabfare and traffic jams. Make sure you look at which trains you need. One last thing about the hotel, I really liked that security wouldn't let you into an elevator late evening without showing your room key. I would stay here again. ” Hotel Representatives:
