  • Spacious lobby, several internet stations, relaxed bar area, access to shopping.
  • Locked bathrooms on conference floor level.

“Fantastic location, close to Newbury street and access to Prudential shops and walkways. Spacious lobby area was great given the high volume of visitors for the Boston marathon. I loved the coffee bar plus access to free internet in the lobby. Great views of Boston. Very comfortable pillows and clean room.”

  • My room had a nice view.
  • The room was the size of a shoebox. Long waits for elevators at checkout times.

“I have stayed in this hotel twice. This time I was given a room with a view which was very nice, but the room itself was tiny. TINY!! There was practically no walking space -- everything was jammed in close together. I had trouble unpacking and figuring out what to do with my giant suitcase. I've stayed here once before and got a room in South Tower which was much larger, so I know bigger rooms definitely do exist. Also, I ended up waiting 40 minutes for an elevator when I was trying to check out. I ended up going back to the room to check out on the TV after waiting for 25 minutes because I was afraid they were going to charge me a late fee. It was very frustrating.”

  • Outrageous to charge guests $12 to use fitness center

“This hotel has gone down hill the last few years. Rooms are small and bathrooms are tiny and a little shabby. A total rip-off to charge $12 a day to use the exercise room (and parking is also $40.) In addition the overpriced breakfast buffet is in a windowless room and food is left sitting in stenos for hours. Avoid to save yourself aggravation!”

  • Great View of the City & its indoor connection to the Prudential Center.
  • Very small room & room needed maintenance work.

“Hotel should be a 3 not a 4. No robes, peeling paint, little space to turn around (had a king bed). Also, had to walk 2 or 3 blocks to a T stop. On the positive side, we stayed on the 27th floor & had a spectacular view of the city. Also, our accommodations were bumped up to "Club" level of service. Consequently, we got free continental breakfast & a light dinner (finger food type) on the 29th floor & the club's express elevator. Still the hotel was lacking in "extras" such as robes, lavish furnishing, etc. More of a convention hotel.”

“We had a horrible stay here. We were placed in a room between two rooms of noisy, drinking young people. Repeated calls to hotel security by a number of guests on our floor did nothing to quiet down the partiers, and the hotel allowed them to carry on all night.”

“Definitely a city hotel, keep your expectations low and they will be met - which is better than not being able to meet any expectations. Skip the hotel restaurant, food quality and service not worth the price charged. Nothing special about this place. Room was the size of a walk in closet. Bathroom size was extremely small.”

  • Felt like the location of the room within the hotel was based on price paid (loud families/kids in area).

“The hotel was very nice but overall we felt like the room did not rate 4 Star. There were lots of loud families and screaming children. Also, the restaurant in the hotel was unreasonably overpriced for very simple meals.”

  • We went for our 40th anniversary, and the hotel provided champagne.
  • There was nothing we didn't like.

“The location of the Sheraton Boston is great. Subway station attached to Prudential center meant not having to be outside very much. We were on the Club level, and the Club Lounge breakfast and evening buffets were marvelous. All staff was very friendly and interested in helping. The room was more than ample and very clean. If we were to go to Boston and stay in the city proper again, we would definitely want to stay at the Sheraton.”

  • I loved the location and the fact that it connected to other areas for shopping and walking without going outside.
  • Bathroom was small and tight, hard to move around for running the water.

“For my purposes, this hotel is in a fantastic spot. It was close to good shopping and near wonderful neighborhoods to walk through. I loved the fact that you could walk around, cross the street, and walk further without ever going outside if the weather is bad. It was quiet, clean and convenient.”

“The staff was very helpful and friendly considering the Sheraton is a large chain hotel. The location is very convenient to the back bay section of Boston and on bad weather days it is nice to be attached to a mall. The t is very close. Everything very clean.”

  • The best location in Boston to see and do it all.
  • Noisy upstairs neighbors for one night. Fortunately, the second night was quiet and restful.

“Our favorite Boston hotel with the most convenient location. Close to shops and excellent restaurants. The room was nice and we enjoyed having a Starbucks in the lobby. Overall, a very pleasant visit!”

“Given a choice I would not stay here. It was a tiny room that has not been updated in a number of years. It was rated 4 stars out of five which is absurd. It should be 2 maybe 2.5. Location is good. Also I was given a smoking room. Overall a bad hotel.”

  • They did not have adjoining rooms available in the configuration we needed.

  • Excellent view from the higher floor.
  • I was told only smoking rooms remained available upon my arrival. This was quite a disappointment. However, the room and floor had no smoke odor.

“Excellent location for walking in Back Bay / Copley Square / Kenmore Square area. Easy in and out; very attractive lobby, room very nice. Should go to all non-smoking.”

“Great location! Rooms felt dirty and where run down. The room I stayed in was very small but had great views. This hotel has potential. I can understand the small rooms but the rooms are in pretty bad condition and in need of renovations. The room was very disappointing and not a 4-star hotel. Was disappointed and would have rather paid more for a real 4-star hotel.”

  • Very loud room! I could hear conversations in the next room. Terrible night's sleep. We have 2 small children and we get a better night's sleep there.

“Very loud. Did not meet expectations. The sheets on the bed were like sand paper. We had a terrible night's sleep. We could clearly here conversations in the next room and doors banging from 5 am on. This was not a 4 star hotel. This was one of the worst travel experiences that my husband and I ever had.”

  • The beds were very comfortable and the exercise facilities were great!
  • The water pressure for the shower was weak. The Sunday brunch didn't have much variety and the scrambled eggs weren't hot or fresh.

  • The hallway, peeling wallpaper and rug from the elevator to the room were very bad.

“Open public areas, lobby, pool, restaurants were great. Access to shopping and transit great. We were unable to get a club room as we needed 2 double beds. You should consider asking this question as there were 3 of us). The floor we stayed at was extremely rundown, peeling wallpaper, dirty carpet and looked like a dormitory, definitely not a 4 star look. The actual room was fine.”

  • Perfect location. Gorgeous lobby. Great shops.
  • Smallish flat sheet on bed: no fitted sheet. No mini bar. Poor TV choices.

“Central location convenient to many parts of Boston. Close to t, buses, fen way park, and Newbury street. Great lobby, including a star bucks store. Helpful and very efficient staff: 1500 checked out when we left and we saw no backlogs at all. Ordinary motel like room. No mini bar. Scant bedclothes: we used the sheets and thin blankets from both beds. No fitted sheet on bed, so the bottom sheet came loose at night.”

“I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemy. The staff was not friendly and we ended up with a poor room. They were unwilling to accommodate. Felt like a bait and switch, as this was supposed to be a four star hotel. The valet lost the keys to my car and delayed leaving. Very bummed as this was an engagement trip.”

  • High parking rates $38.00/day. Extra fee to use pool.

“The hotel was in great shape. They let us in our room early (noon) I needed 2 beds in my room, not a problem. Easy access from Freeway, close to Fen way (we went to a game- short walk) Many restaurants within walking distance. Only negative, parking $36.00/day, extra charge to use pool area.”
