• I ordered too rooms and was supposed to be in the same floor.

“Great hotel, there was construction but was not running. The hotel was full and the breakfast was a bit crowded. (20 min wait).”

• Shuttle service pick up at train station was great.
• Shuttle service to airport for customers starts too late at 0700 when you have a flight at 0715.

• The lobby was attractive. Great views of the city.
• The electricity shorted when using two sources. Location was a little difficult to get to by car. Easier by subway.

“Enjoyed staying at the Marriott. Had more success talking to the staff in person than over the phone. The lobby was very nice and the amenities were well kept. The main bar could be a little bit cozier and the restaurant had odd hours for operation. However, all in all, I would certainly stay there again.”

• The front desk staff, as a matter of fact I was really impressed at the helpfulness of all the staff.
• Too close to construction.

• Very friendly front desk staff.
• At your service forgot our toothbrush request and was slow to recover.

“Hotel was terrific. Front desk staff was very welcoming and was great about knowing and meeting our expectations before we even asked. Room was very cleaned and had beautiful view of the river. It was quite spacious for a Manhattan hotel room.”

• Customer service was great, I forgot toothpaste and called the desk and 5 minutes later they knocked on the door to deliver the toothpaste.
• Was stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes.

• There was a +$50 parking charge that was not told to me.

“A little difficult to find. Level of service great contrast depending on the person. For example, the porter barely spoke English and got angry when I asked for clarification on how to get to the hotel from byway. The front desk very helpful and smooth check in, despite Sunday late night. Very accommodating when requested a late check out.”

• The bathrooms appeared to be recently remodeled and were very nice.
• I was not able to get a double room and have to have a roll-away delivered to my room for the kids.

“I liked the location of the hotel, close to Ground Zero and Battery Park. The lobby and rooms were very nice. They had a comfortable bed with good pillows.”

• The room was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good, close to subways and easy to get a cab.
• The ventilation did not work in the bathroom and after contacting the front desk about it still was never taken care of or addressed during our sta.

• The smell of the room. The quality of restaurant food.

“Entering the hotel is beautiful. Very nice decor. Easy to find, convenient to Statue of Liberty and other tourist attractions. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable however, we really did not like the smell of the room. It stunk. Although they boast "non smoking hotel" the room really did smell of stale smoke. everything had to be washed whether it was worn or not. The hotel restaurant was very $$$$$, the quality of the food did not meet that.”

• The room was very nice, clean and the bed was deliciously comfortable.
• The refrigerator was filled with the hotels high priced snacks. There was no room for my own things.

“Hotel is conveniently located for business travelers as well as for leisure travelers. The subway is a short walk away as are great restaurants. If you are lucky you will get a room with an amazing view of the Statue of Liberty.”

• For the money we paid it was very nice. The only problem it took a while to get cabs.
• The rooms were kind of small. The desk chair was in our way and it was annoying.

• The hotel was very cozy, quiet, the breakfast was very good, the staff was very friendly, and very help full, we enjoyed our self¿s very much!
• We have no complaints!

• The business center needs a lot of work on connectivity and is outrageously expensive.

“Be warned! This hotel is undergoing a NYC required facade repair/replacement. As a result there is a horrendous noise in the room¿s mon-fri from 9 am to 5 pm. Don't book if you are trying to work in your room!”

• This was my fifth stay at this hotel.
• Construction zone from subway to hotel.

“Wonderfully comfortable beds are a blessing after a full day of travel. The rooms are quiet and restful. The concierge and front desk staff are especially helpful and courteous. The secluded location of this hotel lends itself to the restful serenity inside the lobby and rooms.”

• The location was great, near subway too. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
• Could have had complimentary coffee in the lobby and no charge for local calls

• I had a fabulous view of the Statue of Liberty from my window.
• It's fairly far away from Soho, the Village, and the Upper West Side museums that are my interest.

“This would be an excellent location for a business traveler who wants to be near Wall Street. My room was very clean and luxurious--I'd recommend it to anyone who wanted to stay in Lower Manhattan. Roy's Restaurant, located in the hotel, is excellent!”

• Roomier than most NY hotels; big bathroom; nice bed.
• Figuring out the cooling system.

“First time I stayed in the Financial District. It is much cleaner and quieter than my usual Midtown digs. Located right on the Hudson; there is a beautiful park with bike paths a block away. Also only 2 blks to subway station. Hotel has nice, wide hallways and bigger than usual room and bath. They also had new pillow-top mattresses and down comforters/pillows. Area is quiet and slow at night, but nice to come home to.”

• Very clean with all of the special touches. Liked being out of heavy tourist area. Very quiet.
• No parking available without extra charge.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The view of the Hudson River made it more enjoyable. The pool/fitness area was very nice. The staff was very accommodating. A nice place with all of the extra frills. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Easy access by car. Parking less expensive than mid-town hotels.
• Awkward and confusing if getting around by foot. The construction is really a mess.

“Rooms are pleasant, clean and roomy. Staff is accommodating and polite. Restaurant is excellent. Close to the subway, but you must walk past and through numerous dusty and dangerous construction zones. Prices should be lower while the World Trade Center Site is in the works. Very easy to get to by car, unlike mid-town or east-side hotels.”

• It's location is convenient for the purpose of the trip.
• For a 3 star hotel, the room cost is too high.

“Room is fine, Bathroom is clean and sufficient. Bed sheets are clean. Furniture is suitable. Hotel lobby is not impressive. Staff service is acceptable and cordial.”

• Dependable Marriott quality.
• Unless you have business in the Financial District, you're kind of out of the way of the fun, "touristy" attractions in NYC.

“Overall, a good, solid hotel. Easy access to Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, WTC, Wall Street and financial area. Our room had a beautiful view of the water. For the right price, I'd stay here again.”

• I tend to have confidence in the Marriott Brand this did not disappoint.
• Getting there from JFK a 2 hour shuttle all the way at the tip of Manhattan.

• I travel a lot, and this was the only hotel that didn't give me a problem with anything and anticipated everything I needed.
• Everything was great.

“Everyone, from the doorman to bellman to check in to restaurant staff to check out. Everything was anticipated and there were no problems. For example, a double charge on the internet bill was wiped off immediately without even a raised eyebrow or argument you would get anywhere else. Great place.”

“We stayed in the hotel during the Memorial Day weekend, it was a perfect weekend. We paid a very reasonable amount for a great 3 star hotel. We loved the beds, they were so comfortable. It felt great to come back to after walking around in Manhattan all day. Even the location was good, metro close by, great view.”
