- Parking appeared to be pricy, but given the fact that it was valet, understandable.

- Had a hard time insuring two double beds instead of one King until check in.
“Rooms were very comfortable, especially linens. We had a lovely view, wish we had had a little patio! Parking service was great. Bellman service was a little lacking upon check-in. Overall, would definitely stay there again-have already recommended it to a client of mine.”

- One of the cleaning ladies I ran into 3X had a nasty attitude.
“The only comment was the one employee who was a cleaning lady on the 3rd floor that I saw 3 times in two days and did not smile or return a hello twice.”

- Convenient location, unlimited access valet parking only $25 & good even after checkout until 5 pm. Unbelievable in a major city hotel!
- No continental breakfast and very expensive room service. Limited menu, no wet bar, lots of lamps & other device wires messy & tangled.

- Hotel was in a safe area, staff very nice.
- I rushed all day to arrive early enough to take a shower before going out, hotel room not ready at 4pm.
“Hotel staff very accommodating, gave us free drinks for the room not being ready, room was clean and bed wonderful, nice location, easy to find, staff could not do enough for you. The only thing I was disappointed was they did not offer even a continental breakfast; the restaurant in the lobby was pricy.”

- The entry way /lobby was well adorned and attractive.
- Other than the lobby the hotel was less than spectacular. Terrible room service, no late menu.
“In February, we stayed at the Double Tree Hilton in Philly and loved it! This Sheraton did not meet up to my expectations at all! It was old and dingy. The tile, the floor, the pool area, even the bed was not nearly as comfortable as the Double Tree. Also, it was on the tail end of the city center! Not a good location for us at all. The room service menu they provide you is obsolete, as the room service attendant so rudely informed us. Why is it in the book then? Very displeased with this hotel! Would not stay again!”

- The room was luxurious and they offered Bliss travel size products!
- Nothing negative to say.
“This hotel is in a fairly quiet corner of Old City Philadelphia, but just around the corner from lots of great restaurants and the Independence Hall complex. It's like a little oasis of calm amidst the bustle of downtown. And it's within easy walking distance of transportation, so getting to the sports venues is a snap.”

- Awesome location.
- Staff, especially the bell hop and valet were not courteous. The Valet actually argued with me about whether my car was up from the garage.
“I might stay again for the location and because I have stayed before. But I did not find the hotel staff very courteous or friendly. Rooms were clean, except the bed spread had stains. I did not sleep well due to the poor pillows and uncomfortable mattress.”

- Good location, close to many popular attractions and not too far from subway station.
- My room windows faced the indoor swimming pool; there was a distinct smell of chlorine.
“Good location just a few blocks from subway station, lots of great dining options nearby, and close to many popular tourist attractions. The hotel itself was decent, somewhat upscale in its ambitions, though falling a bit short of that mark. The rooftop indoor pool (beneath glass ceiling panels) looked nice and was mostly used by families with younger kids.”

- The room was really clean, spacious.
“I was completely impressed with the hotel. Loved the lobby area and the staff were helpful. The room was spotless, and the bed was cozy. It really looked like the pictures. The location is a bit on the sidelines, but you can take a 5 dollar cab ride to the center of town or walk easily on a nice day.”

- The staff was very polite and accommodating.
- There was a lot of noise from the hallways late at night.
“We liked that this hotel was walking distance from sightseeing spots and fine dining places although the hotel itself was in a quiet space. The staff was nice and helpful all around. For instance, a room with 2 double beds that we requested was not available but the staff went out of their way and placed a comfortable cot in our room as an alternative. The atrium seemed to amplify the noise from the lobby but the inner door in the room helped muffle the noise from outside the room. All things considered, we had a pleasant stay.”

“The location was almost ideal for taking short walks to local shops in central Philadelphia and south street. Its not an enormous skyscraper which is nice. There are 4 stories with a big central court and atrium and everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Weve stayed in Philadelphia about 10 times together, and without counting our stay at the Morris House Hotel.”

- All staff from front desk to maid service was extremely courteous and friendly.
- My room smelled a little like cigarette smoke but we didn't complain.
“Excellent hotel for families and business. It's big enough for the complex to feel spacious but not overwhelming. Also the common space especially the pool area has skylights which make the atmosphere light and airy. It's walkable to good food and the historic attractions. The hotel was a perfect weekend treat.”

- The hotel was very convenient to historic places and travel to other areas was convenient.
- Only very expensive valet parking was available. It took a long time to get our car each time.
“Great location for visitors wanting to see historic Philadelphia. The hotel was warm and inviting, and staff was very helpful. Having to Valet park (at $28 per day) was very expensive, and valet service was either understaffed or overworked (but friendly).”

- The first room they showed us was adjacent to the pool. Smelled like chlorine; noisy.
“The reception desk at this hotel is not marked, so when I entered the lobby for the first time, I wasn't sure if the desk was for reception or checkout. There was a lot of furniture to navigate past to get to it. The hotel is pretty, the valet parking attendants were prompt, and check in was easy. The lobby is pretty, but had an air of disuse. Bed & linens were very comfortable.”

- The hotel was centrally located and within walking distance of several tourist areas and restaurants.
- Our heater broke and the people next door were drunk and screaming and yelling all night.
“The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It was also centrally located to many fun bars, restaurants, historical attractions and tourist areas. They were remodeling the hotel when we went, so there was some construction going on, however it wasn't noisy at night time. We didn't sleep too well due to the heater breaking and the noisy neighbours. The hotel staff did provide a complimentary stay at another Sheraton location, however, we didn't sleep too well. I doubt other people had this sort of experience, so that is why I am giving it a higher rating.”

- Only average food, a bit dirty.
“Overall stay was good. Really big rooms with nice beds and a large flat screen TV. The room service guys are really nice, too nice even. It even got annoying. I ordered breakfast one day and they would barely leave the room, they wanted to make sure that everything was perfect and asking how I enjoyed everything (had already tipped them, so they weren't waiting for that). They were 2 by the way. Started eating when they left, and then they call after like 15 minutes just to check if the food was any good and if anything else was needed. Then they called 10 minutes after that and asked if I wanted them to come and pick the tray up, and I wasn't finished even.”

- The front desk gentleman came through with no excuses when he had a problem with room readiness because of housekeeping.
- Not what you would expect for price, location, and from the Sheraton. Smelled like stagnant smoke, very dated and in need of a remodel, big time.
“While the location is exactly what you would want for old city Philadelphia, the hotel (especially it being the Sheraton) was way under expectation, especially for the price regarding overall cleanliness, appearance, and maintenance.”

- Great customer service. Something that Philadelphia as a whole lacks.
- Some of the room doors stuck and I was not aware of the $25 parking fee.
“Overall very good experience. My initial room was given away, but the staff made up for it so I was satisfied nonetheless. Food was excellent, however when I went to order "24 hour" room service after a long flight only to find out it did not exist any longer. But the staff recommended a spot that had a great Philly cheese steak! The only suggestion I have is that the rooms on the 4th floor with the great view of the bridge have king size beds versus sofa sleepers! Customer service at its very best. Valet, room service, gift shop attendant (too funny), housekeeping and the front desk attendants that allowed me to use their computer and check out late due to my wife being ill. Given the opportunity I would return again.”

“I arrived at 11:00 pm. My wife and I were tired and hungry but the restaurant was closed. The desk person had 2 box lunch type meals, generous turkey sandwiches, chips, an apple and granola bar sent to our room free of charge. Exactly what we needed. - Location is excellent. Close to historic areas and away from busy downtown markets.
- Rude parking attendants. Linens need to be changed often. Broken wall outlets.
“The best thing about the hotel is its location. The street adjoining the hotel is quite empty, thus there's no busy traffic to deal with getting in or out. Very close to historical tourist area which is a big plus. Close to nice cafes and restaurants around 2nd and Market streets. The better hotels around the area are the Omni and the Hyatt on the Dock.”

- Perfect, quiet location. Safe, clean neighborhood near major attractions in Historic District and very close to Penn's Landing.
- Parking. You must pay $28.00 for overnight parking at the hotel. There is no self parking available nearby.
“Very well appointed rooms, comfortable, large, and very nice bathrooms -large granite countertops, adjustable massage shower heads. Plenty of space for parents and two children. Indoor pool is bigger than most, well kept public areas. Safe area.”

- I liked that the rooms were around the perimeter of the hotel, while the middle was left open, filled with plants.
- There were no food vending machines!
“The hotel was good for its intended purpose- to sleep comfortably. I don't think I would stay here with my husband if we were to go away for the weekend. There are more hotels closer to inner city Philly that would be more appropriate. The Hyatt is across the street and I would stay there the next time I was in the area.”

- Convenient location - right in the "Most historic square mile" of the US.
- Exchanged furniture without notice during our stage. Left our room door unlocked.
“My stay in this hotel with a great location, large rooms appointed with a comfortable bed, sitting area, desk and indoor patio was marred by the hotel's disregard for guest convenience and safety. During our five day stay, for two days, the staff replaced the patio furniture without notifying us, and leaving the patio door to our room not only unlocked, but wide open!”

- Incredibly friendly and helpful staff!
- Our one disappointment; coffee in room not replenished.
“We had a truly great stay at this hotel! We were in the area for a wedding, and we asked for directions several times. We received info, computer printouts, and anything we needed. The front desk staff was truly the most helpful I've ever encountered. Nice facility, clean, and a comfortable room as well.”

- Beautiful Lobby and a great location. The indoor pool in the atrium was also very nice.
- Bathrooms in the room were dated. No in room safe.
“We had a very nice day, the hotel is located within walking distance of many fine restaurants and shops and sights. We walked all over during the day and had a nice dinner just down the street. The next morning before we checked out, I woke up and swam some laps in the indoor pool, which was very refreshing. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The hotel could use a few refreshers or super cleaning of the individual guest room bathrooms, and of the workout / fitness facility. Everything else in the hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the pool as well. We had a great stay in Philly.”
