• The location was convenient.
• Dirt throughout the main lobby, corridor, elevators and hallways. The carpets were fraying and tearing up all throughout the hotel.

“The lady at the front desk check in was rude. She explained that parking is considered an incidental and I need to pay the $20 for that. The hotel was also filthy. The bathrooms have been recently updated, but do not match the decor of the rest of the hotel room and definitely not the rest of the hotel which is in need of a serious update. This hotel would be ideal for a business trip or if you just need a place to rest your head for a night. But that's it.”

• It was very easy to get to and the people were so friendly.
• Just the parking to expensive. Internet connection very horrible.

• Security did not respond when someone tried to breath into our room.

“We had a problem with someone breaking into our room at night, the security did not respond and after two days seemingly nothing was done, management did not know about the incident. other than that it was in a great location and the other staff were helpful.”

• Proximity to street noise on 2nd floor, bed too soft.

“I would recommend the hotel to anyone, and only suggest that they get a room on one of the upper floors to be a little more removed from the street noise. There's a firehouse a block away and a big delivery truck idled outside our window Saturday morning from 7:30 to 8:30 so the sleep I got wasn't very restful. I would absolutely stay there again.”

• The room was clean.
• My food order was wrong 3 times out of 4. The hotel did nothing about the loud guest that kept me from getting sleep my last night of stay.

“The hotel was clean and situated in a good location for sightseer's. The hotel staff did nothing even though I contacted them 3 times about the extremely loud people that were next to me. I became sick from lack of sleep and stress. I would be very unlikely to stay at this hotel again if I don't receive an apology and some kind of adequate reimbursement.”

“This hotel was ideal for what we needed. The clerk who checked us in gave us options for restaurants. It's a terrific area for walking, lots to see. Our room was clean & quiet. No problems here at all everything was fine.”

• It was in a great location and the hotel was very nice.
• I would have liked to have access to a continental breakfast.

“The rooms were very nice and the staff was very helpful and went out of their way to be so. It is in a very good location and has lots of good restaurants around and has an ease of access to the tourist areas.”

• It was within walking distance of the in town show I went to see. Easy to get on and off 95.
• The toilet in the room ran all night.

“I was very happy with the hotel overall. It was right in the middle of where I needed to be. The staff was very friendly and quick to make any needed accommodations. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely like to stay at this hotel again.”

• It was clean and the staff remained professional.
• The entire 5th floor reaped of cigars and smoke, had to be moved 2x.

“This generally a good hotel in the historic district of Philadelphia. It is conveniently located near important historic landmarks, mass transit and shopping areas. Parking in this area is abundant. The facility is fairly old and requires some repairable maintenance. I would use this hotel again.”

“After eating the worst $18.00 pizza from room service, saw a big brown rat run across my floor twice. Called the front desk, they did not act the least bit surprised. Offered to give me another room, how sweet of them simply sent up a key, no bellman or cart. We were staying for a week. It took us 4 trips in our pajamas. The elevator in the creepy parking garage did not work. No hot water one morning.”

• Hotel staff did not inform me of the arrival of my lost luggage. I had to be proactive.

• The location and adjacent parking garage were very convenient.
• Breakfast was slow to come, even though the restaurant was virtually empty. Also, there was no hot water one morning because "we were booked up?

“I found it ridiculous that the lack of hot water in the shower one morning was due to the fact that the hotel was full, and "maybe everyone was taking showers at the same time." What? Shouldn't all hotels plan for this? Luckily, it was fixed by the next morning. Although the adjacent parking garage was very convenient, it would have been better had it opened up directly into the hotel.”

• There was a pizza advertised in the room which I ordered and it the worst pizza I had ever tried to eat because I was hungry.

“Their restaurant made a great burger and pasta dish. The room was clean and pleasant. The ice and vending machines were close and reasonable. Cokes were a buck. Nice! No price gouging.”

“I enjoyed my stay here. It is in a great location, not far from sights and restaurants, but not in a busy area. My only complaint is the heater was so loud I couldn't sleep with it on. The very helpful staff moved me three times until they found one that was quieter, but still it kept me up. I guess it is the nature of that type of heater; it makes noise cycling on and off, and rattles when it's on. I ended up using an extra blanket, and turned it off. Other guests complained of the same thing. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and took my complaints seriously. The decor is newly re-done, and quite nice for the price. I recommend this hotel.”

• Parking cost high-$20/day after discount.

“Basic traveler hotel with minimum frills. Rooms Spartan but clean. Close to historic downtown attractions. Reasonably safe neighborhood. Good value if you name your own price. Easy exit to I-95, but getting there requires negotiating one-way downtown streets and some looping around the block. A good GPS helps if you are not familiar with downtown Philly.”

• Excessive street noise.

“We were in town for one night for a wedding Downtown and this hotel was clean and very convenient to Downtown sites via a short cab ride. The city street noise (sirens late at night) heard from our room was a bit of a nuisance, but we'd definitely stay there again in the future.”

• No place to get a late evening cup of tea or coffee. Kitchen closes 10 p.m.

“Staff was very friendly. Food - the little we actually purchased - was fantastic. Room was spacious, for our needs. View out the windows was not so great: we looked out onto a roof of the lower floor. Great that it was within walking distance of historical attractions. No need to drive anywhere or take transportation.”
