• Attentive staff at check-in, spacious rooms and clean.
• One or two of the bell staff was a bit gruff.

“The hotel is in a great location, overall a very pleasant, clean and spacious hotel. Restaurant was good, staff friendly and amenities plentiful. Only frustration was how long it took to get my car upon departing, but the valet staff really worked hard to keep people moving. They handed out bottles of water and ice pops to the kids.”

• Comfortable beds.

“Called ahead to secure a lower floor with double be. Was told no problem that we would have an 8th floor room with double beds which was fine. When we arrived they had no record or call and were giving us and king bed on the 24 th floor. When we told of call the day before they gave us a room on the 8th floor but it was not cleaned from the previous guest. We had to wait and even had to call again for service before we were given another room. We had tickets to game and really had to go. Valet parking extremely slow and disorganized. They did give complimentary water though.”

• Room near elevator - tough to get rest.

“The hotel lobby was full of guests and children running around at the reception desk. There was no sense of organization or line to check in. The room was with 2 small beds. I had requested 1 large bed and the hotel was now booked. The room looked as though someone was already staying in it. The beds were clumpy, blankets were frayed. The hallways were dirty, trash throughout. We checked out one day early.”

• Great location, good use of historic building.
• Could hear noisy neighbors who apparently don't get out much.

“Great location, building is cool! Subway stop right on the block. Lots of restaurants nearby. Historical section is within walking distance. Even trip to South Philly wasn't scary. Reading market is a must! Great food and only a block away.”

• The room was outstanding and so was the staff.
• A little confusing on how and where to enter the hotel.

“I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was perfect and so was the room itself. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It seemed as though they went above and beyond to help when we needed it. They were very patient and polite to the guests. We would stay here again!”

• Perfect location to activities in Philadelphia.
• Nothing.

“We were able to get into our room at 10:30 Am, unload our luggage, and go out and enjoy the independence day celebration without using the car. The room was clean and spacious, and had a beautiful view of Penn's Landing. We were on the 27th floor, and were able to see at least 20 different communities fireworks displays at once from our room! I would stay there again.”

• Beautiful hotel that was more than we expected. Staff was over the top helpful in recommending dining and sight seeing options.
• No comment. Everything during our stay was great.

“We loved this hotel. Beautiful, great view of the city, helpful staff and a short walk to all the historical sites we wanted to visit. The room was large as was the bathroom with many extras like robes, beverages, plasma TV and chocolates with turn down service. We requested a standard room and were upgraded to a king size corner suite with city view for no charge just because it was available. We loved Philly and this hotel and plan to come back to for a longer stay.”

• The location was near all of the major attractions, the staff knew the area well and eager to please.
• Did not receive maid service on second day of stay.

“Overall, I would stay here again. The location was great. The staff was helpful. The style and overall cleanliness was excellent, however we did not receive maid service on our second day of stay. We had to call the house keeping staff 3 times before the room was cleaned and it finally was cleaned at around 7 pm.”

• First room we were given had no bed. Then we had no choice other to take a smoking room, we have asthma!

• There was no indoor swimming pool for recreation purposes.

• Incredible location and great view of the city.
• A moderate amount of noise from the elevators.

“The staff was great and very helpful. Check-in and check-out were hassle free. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. You cannot ask for a better or more convenient location.”

“I had to wait probably 10 minutes in line to check-in. I was given room keys to someone else's room where another guest was in the room! When I returned to the lobby, I waited in line nearly 20 minutes. The front desk staff had almost no reaction to my situation other than offering me free breakfast.”

“Great hotel, 1920s look and feel. Room service breakfast was outstanding. My son (embarrassing) clogged the toilet and they came within minutes and unclogged it with no problem. Very nice place - intend to stay there again.”

• Classy, comfortable, stylish without being too glossy, nice staff.
• Funny air duct noises at night, hallway noise too loud due to metal doors.

“Classy, comfortable, and friendly, the Lowe was the perfect place to stay overnight while on business in Philadelphia. The Convention Center and the Reading Terminal Market are right there, and the staff was very happy to help with anything we needed. Although the room was not "triple mint condition," and those who require such strident perfection that might feel more comfortable at one of the normal corporate chains, I found the Lowe quite comfortable, pleasant, and stylish and I would definitely stay again.”

“Planned a romantic get away for my husband and I and this hotel was the icing on the cake! It was affordable and beautiful. We felt like wealthy socialites and the staff treated us like we were! Our room wasn't ready immediately so they bumped us up to a better one and gave us breakfast on the house!”

“I really loved the hotel and my stay. It is what I expected from Loews. I just think if you are spending a lot of money to stay, your parking should be included. They also did not explain the Spa and Fitness Center was actually included.”

• Excellent view from 17th floor of City Hall. Plenty of space if you plan to spend most time out and about.
• Fairly small room with a lack of seating.

“This hotel is located right in the heart of all the action in Philadelphia. The building was a skyscraper built in the 30's. Loews has modernized it and it is top notch hotel. Our room was comfortable, quiet with views to die for. The staff was very friendly and polite. We'd love to go back.”
