• The staff was friendly and attentive to every need.
• Whirlpool was not working.

“The hotel and staff are impeccable. Every detail has been considered; from curbside valet and door men to the orchids in the entryway, to natural soaps and lotions. This downtown location is walking distance from many business and cultural locations. I will definitely return!”

• No swimming pool, one elevator was out of service.

• The bell man that greeted us.
• The lady at the front desk when I checked out.

“My only complaint was we only had one king size bed for my family of four. They did provide us with a roll-away bed. It would have been nice to have the kids in their own bed.”

• The fitness center, whirlpool and location.
• We didn't had the two beds.

“It was a very nice historical hotel that was comforting and had a very nice location, right by the ball park. The fitness center was nice, my kids and I enjoyed it.”

• The staff was fantastic. Friendly, courteous and amazingly helpful.
• After seeing the lobby of this hotel, I was a bit disappointed with the look of my room.

“Amazing location right by the bridge to the Pirates ball field. The other direction is the heart of the city, both within easy walking distance. Being unsure what to expect, all concerns were immediately gone after seeing the beautiful lobby and the friendly smiles of the front desk staff. Will definitely recommend this hotel.”

• The size of the room and the comfort of the beds.
• The front desk person was incredibly rude.

“The hotel was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The room is large and the view of PNC park from the room was great. The person who checked me in, however, was incredibly rude. For that reason alone I may not attend at the hotel again.”

• Spacious room, old world charm, tall ceilings, outstanding price.
• Parking lot was across the street.

“My wife and I were amazed at the excellent quality of the room furnishings and bedding. We had great nights sleep in a very quiet hotel. It is conveniently located within walking distance of most every attraction in downtown district and across the bridge to the North Side.”

• Very little signage on the hotel. Hard to find for an out of Towner.

• The staff was quite friendly also the hotel was filled with beautiful antique architecture.
• The only parking available was located in a parking garage across the street. Unsure if parking would be available there if a busy time.

“This elegant hotel was clean and comfortable. The antique architecture of the lobby was very impressive. The staff was attentive and kind. The stay was delightful.”

• Fantastic room with a huge luxurious bathroom.
• Really nothing!

“This was a great hotel and a wonderful value for the price. The location was excellent, right next to the river in the heart of downtown. The room was huge, nicely appointed, with an extremely large, luxurious bathroom. The hotel lobby is the height of grandeur. We had a wonderful 4 day stay here.”

• Not a better location in Pittsburgh.
• The lobby was used as a dining room, food smells upon walking into the lobby and not a place to sit and rest.

“The hotel is beautiful with a staff that is attentive and friendly. Many rooms have views of the airshaft and thus are dark and gloomy. The lobby is not a lobby but a dining room thus reducing public areas.”

• It's a gorgeous hotel.
• The view from my room was the brick wall of the next building - about 5 feet away.

“The staff is lovely; they went out of their way to be extra kind and helpful. The common areas are beautiful; lobby is just stunning. The rooms are very nice except for in some cases, the view. Would highly recommend staying here.”

“Beautiful hotel along the river with extremely friendly staff. Watch out for the valet parking however as the only pitfall of this well polished jem is that the valet does not communicate that the $25 parking fee is per night. Ooch! Do not miss the dragons and just park your own car!”

• Offered free shoe-shine service.

• Free breakfast with waffle-maker. Fridge and microwave in room.
• Floor could be cleaner.

“The hotel was a great 2-star place to stay for those shopping in Grove City. Rooms were great, and the free breakfast and internet were nice bonuses as well. Could be a little cleaner, but certainly met expectations for a 2-star establishment. I would recommend it.”

• Did not accommodate one thing we asked for.

“This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. I was up with my children until 12:30 am, trying to make sleeping arrangements for myself and our friends, even though we checked in at 5:00 pm. The hotel lied and said they would take care of things, but never did. It was an exhausting trip because of that and never did enjoy the hotel because there were so many issues to take care of. I called hotel directly after and said they would accommodate most requests. I thought you would like to know that.”

• Pool is located in Fitness Centre next door and those under age 18 are not admitted.

• Parking was expensive for 3 days.

“My wife and I came down from Michigan for our anniversary. The staff treated us like celebrities and we were wildly thrilled with our accommodations. Mary went above and beyond when upgrading our room for our last night. Nothing could have been better. Thank you so much.”

“Elegant, beautiful, relaxed hotel; wonderful location near major Downtown Pittsburgh cultural spots; very good (if pricey) restaurant; if lucky, you will get one of the lovely Riverview rooms. Wine bar an unusual feature, and exceptionally well-priced for Pennsylvania (where state wine and spirits taxes are exorbitant and punitive).”

• Excellent service! Beautiful hotel! Clean friendly, attentive staff from the door man to the bar tender!
• No spa.

“I was extremely impressed with the service and the beautiful building. Every one was very pleasant and helpful. I now have a new favorite hotel I Pittsburgh, and that is in part due to the wonderful way we where treated from the moment we got out of our car.”

• The hotel was beautiful, just what you would think of for an Omni.
• The staff was rude and unaccommodating, service was terrible from this hotel.

• The Renaissance is luxury and beauty all the way.
• There was no valet or bellman around at my check in.

“You cannot find a more beautiful hotel if you love older buildings and luxury. You can hear a bit through the walls at night and some plumbing noises, but all of the beauty and nice amenities made up for that.”

• The staff was extremely helpful.
• Lack of outlets in room, lighting and horrible odor from outdoors in lobby.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The service was impeccable. They were more than willing to help with nay of our needs, including car service and extra toiletries. Our only complaint was the horrible odor from outside the main entrance that seeped into the hotel. Everybody was complaining. Other than that-it was excellent and we will be returning.”

“Our room was not ready they gave us another room. Room was not vacuumed properly, had to ask for more towels extra cup and glass. Workout room great, hot tub great, location great, doormen great. Weddings took precedence over other customers. Mattresses older that last time need to be replaced.”

• The general hotel staff was very friendly; hotel location fabulous, I went to the symphony Saturday night.
• Restaurant food was not very good and the server was very rude; I've stayed at this hotel several times before and restaurant is never good.

• The pianist in the lobby when we arrived was very nice.
• The lobby desk did not answer the phone on several attempts at 12am for a wake up call.

“A very nice hotel in a busy area with a lot of character. Very nice staff and cheap parking in the garage across the street. ($5 from Friday-Saturday) I would absolutely stay here again.”

“The Renaissance was luxurious at an affordable price. The location was great - right in Pittsburgh's cultural district, so close to theaters and restaurants. The hotel appeared simplistic, yet all amenities were available (health club, restaurants, etc). There was subtleness to the luxury provided.”

• I liked the responsiveness of the staff, the atmosphere, the bed was comfortable.
• The drinking glasses in the room were not clean. The television in the room could've been never/larger.

“The staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. The location was ideal for our needs; we were able to walk to various places from the hotel with great suggestions from the literature in the hotel room. The room was clean for the most part. The only problem we had was with the drinking glasses that weren't clean. The room was comfortable with a great view of the river. The hotel should think about offering parking with in and out privileges but we were able to find on the street parking and cheaper rates at other downtown garages. Ultimately we were satisfied with our overall experience and would consider staying again.”
