• That I had to check out and move to another hotel.

“This hotel was great, from the cable service (most hotels only have 5 channels) to the overall ambiance and comfort of bed, it was great, I hated to leave.”

“This hotel was located at a good spot, close to Harrah's, Bourbon street, French Quarter, and the mall to name a few places. The staff was friendly as well. I would recommend it to other people.”

• Good location for those traveling by cruise line.
• Staff was unfriendly and disorganized.

“When we checked in we were given two keys. My husband took his key with him when he went to park the car. I took mine and went with our three children to go up to the room. We had driven 12 hours and were exhausted. My key did not work! Waited for husband and he went to get working keys. Later another person was checked into our room. He was as shocked and freaked out as I was. Then we were given someone else's receipt under our door in the morning. On top of that we had to pay $19 for parking! Not happy.”

• Great location with everything in walking distance. Staff was extremely helpful!
• Parking fee was very high. Higher than the local parking garages near by.

• Nice, clean rooms with plenty of space.
• No free amenities (breakfast, wireless, etc.).

“This Courtyard Marriott is located a few blocks away from the main hotel and does not offer all of the free amenities that the main hotel offers even though the website touts these (no free breakfast especially was disappointing). Free high-speed internet is available via wired plug-in but expect to pay a pretty high price if you want to access wireless which is available only in the main lobby. Otherwise the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is non-smoking. It is actually located about seven blocks or so from the French Quarter and walking home at night can be a bit dangerous it seems. Also there is a lack of late night restaurants in the area.”

• I got a great deal for the price paid. No complaints.
• The bed was much too soft. I think it was a fairly new memory foam mattress but Im a big man & it didn't work for me. I paid $15.99 daily to park.

“All the employees that I dealt with were exceptionally charming & courteous with one exception. I think he was having a bad day. I would stay here again provided they can come up with a bed that doesn't kill my back.”

• The staff knew me by name after one encounter with them. Very friendly and helpful
• Parking was not free.

“This is an excellent hotel if you need to be near the Morial Convention Center. It is also within walking distance of the River Walk. Mulats is a block away. The staff is very friendly and will bend over backwards to help you.”

• Desk staff not always helpful.

“It's an architecturally interesting hotel (a former warehouse mixed with modern elements) that is clean. Our main issues concerned the desk staff when we checked in, and the parking garage. There were three people standing behind the desk when we checked in, yet only one person was helping the six customers waiting for service. The gentleman who helped us was more concerned with visiting with the other employees than with helping customers. The keycard entrance to the parking garage operated poorly, and it took two return trips to the front desk to find out first that the keycard reader at the garage was tricky to operate, and then finally that our card had been incorrectly programmed. Even after we received a correct keycard, it always took many attempts to open the gated entrance to the garage. Why wouldn't the staff volunteer such information ahead of time, or better yet, fix the card reader?”

“The Marriott courtyard is convenient in that it is only two blocks away from the convention center and river walk. The staff has an extensive knowledge base of the area and is more than helpful in providing dining/shopping options. The hotel preserves the charm of its surroundings without lacking in the amenities and service you expect from the Marriott brand.”

• The location is excellent, and the check-in process is easy.
• Incidentals (parking, dining, etc.) are incredibly overpriced.

“Most of the staff is very friendly. The rooms are a bit small for the quality rating they advertise, and the amenities are not in the best repair. Dining, parking, and other hotel services are extremely overpriced and should be avoided.However, the location is very convenient, with good access to both uptown and downtown New Orleans.”

• Walls were abit thin. Can hear people next door at 3am! not nice to be woken up by shouting!

• The hot tub out by the pool was quite enjoyable.
• The Manager on staff the day of our departure was very rude and disrespectful when we had a question at checkout.

“Good location for Warehouse District/Convention Center. Check-in staff very pleasant. Rooms very basic. Self-parking sufficient but expensive in comparison to valet service offered at other area hotels. (our friend paid $7+ for parking there a little over an hour but the hotel wanted to charge the full $15+ - hence the problem with Mgr. noted above)”

• It had on site parking, good location to the new years activities
• On check in the staff tried to get us to pay extra money to upgrade to a different room.

“Hotel room was the excellent quality you find in marriott courtyard. It has on site parking a plus for New Orleans. It was an excellent room for the price during new years eve.”

“We went to New Orleans, LA for a short trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean and tidy. If I were to go back to New Orleans again, I would probably choose the same hotel again.”

“Nice rooms, great staff, great location -- BUT -- the price was a little unfair, since the price for parking was a laughably bad $28 per day, the most expensive where the average price was still like parking in Manhattan. I wish I had known that beforehand -- at least to have a chance to plan accordingly.”
