• Comfortable atmosphere, on-site restaurant & fitness center, and within walking distance of sites (with don't travel after dark streets close by).

“The hotel is small but provides the amenities that you would expect from a Westin chain of family-styled hotels. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly. Everything was within walking distance, but you could not travel on certain streets after dark and had to walk by an empty lot on your way back to the hotel from the Strip.”

• I liked that the hotel was not busy or crowded at all. Also, free beer and wine from 5-7:30.
• I did not like how boring the hotel was. Just bland.

“The hotel was a good place to stay if you do not like nice and you are a business traveler. If you want to have a really loud casino hotel, stay at planet Hollywood, or another hotel. This hotel was really quiet and calming. Great view, I got a free upgrade because I mentioned my starwoods card.”

• The beds at the Westin are always large and comfortable.
• The location on Flamingo was a bit of a walk in the heat and down a dark street.

“The Westin Casuarina lived up to the expectations one might have of a Westin chain hotel. The hotel was clean, the bed was heavenly, and the staff was friendly. However, for those longing for the glamour and ritzy ness of Vegas, this hotel is not for you. It lacks the finer amenities of say the Venetian or the Bellagio. Or the themed decor of Paris, Caesar's Palace, or New York, New York. For the traveler longing for a truly Vegas experience, then the Westin is not the way to go. It leaves you feeling a bit removed from the fast pace of the strip.”

“When I was checking in I was giving a room with 1 double size bed and we were party of 2 so one of us was giving a blanket to sleep on the ground and the room were not comfortable because it was set for a handicap people. The whole idea I didn't go to Vegas to sleep on the ground. I hope you will consider my complain. Thank you.”

• It was small and convenient to get to parking and the hotel room.
• It should be max a 3 star hotel.

“This hotel was convenient to the Las Vegas strip. I liked that it is a smaller hotel so you don't get lost trying to get to the elevators to your room. The parking was very convenient because of the hotel's size. It was more of a business traveler hotel. However; we did encounter a problem. One morning we went to breakfast and about 6 hours returned to find that our hotel door was not closed. We pushed the door and it opened. We were quite upset as we had about $7,000 worth of electronic equipment in the room (two Mac Laptops and a digital SLR camera with lenses). Thankfully nothing was missing but we weren't very happy that the maid service had not shut and checked the door to make sure it was securely shut behind them.”

• Need to update and better clean.

“Avoid this one. It might have been good 15 years ago, but no money has been spent on it since then. Restaurant very expensive for what you got and quality was fair at best. Parking was good. Staff was friendly.”

• It was in Las Vegas.
• The walls were paper thin - every sound both outside and in were heard as if no walls were present at all.

“The front desk staff was friendly, but the concierge was neither friendly nor knowledgeable. We asked about public transportation and were given curt directions that were incorrect. The building itself is not insulated at all, as all sounds in earshot could be heard clearly in the room. This would be a good site for a parking garage.”

• Friendly staff, great pina coladas, great wait staff in pool area and bars.
• When a slot machine was broken and took money from my friend it was not rectified.

“My friend and I went here to get away from the daily grind. We were happy to sit by the pool meeting people and having drinks. The hotel was quaint and not in the hassle and bustle which was exactly what I was looking for. The wait staff and hospitality staff were great and helped to inform us of places to go and where the good eats were. We had a great time.”

• Returned to room at 6:30 pm and room was not serviced. Charged $10 a day for complimentary items on the final bill.

“Came to room at 6:30 pm and room had not been serviced even though I left the room for the day at 9:30 am. I had to call to have it serviced. Got charged $10 a day for a hotel service. Which, according to them, is for all the complimentary item or amenities that you use, such as pool, spa, gym, newspaper in lobby, complimentary water bottles in the room. The hotel service fees should have been added to the price of the room, not to your room bill that you get at checkout. Everyone at checkout with me was also complaining the same thing. Nobody wants an expected bill.”

• The bed was amazing.
• There was always a wait at the front desk.

“Overall, a very nice stay. The location is not to far from the strip but make sure you wear good walking shoes. The Starbucks in the lobby was a good breakfast stop on your way out the door though Suede (their fancy restaurant) left a lot to be desired. The casino was decent. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean.”

“Overall good- wouldn't say location was center strip- would classify more as off strip- center area. Area was a little sketchy- didn't necessarily feel safe 100% of the time. Would never walk around alone- especially after dark.”

“The hotel met every expectation, very nice, clean, friendly and accommodating staff. Great location, nice pool (but small). The only bad thing was our AC didn't work all that well, but tolerable. Would stay again and recommend.”

• The hotel was conveniently located off the strip and was walking distance to many attractions.
• The hotel room was poorly put together, throw pillows were dirty, carpet was filthy, and walls were thin so noise was excessive.

“Location was good for a 1 night stay. Would not stay there again since walls were extremely thin to the point you could hear the room next door full conversation. The room was clean to a certain point. Carpet had many stains on it and was dirty, throw pillows had stains, and the cleanliness was just average. Was not expecting this in a 4 star hotel.”

• I like the fact the hotel was just a 10 minute walk to the strip.
• Pool was small. Rooms were small. 10 dollar per day hotel service charge.

“First of all, the help desk was courteous and friendly. They even let us check in 3 hours early which surprised me. We were situated on the 11th floor. The room had two full size beds. Space was adequate, but if there were more than just the two of us, then there would have been a problem. The hotel was just 10 minutes away from the strip. I walked to the Flamingo casino to ride the monorail up and down the Lags Vegas strip every day. I was surprised how close the Westin was to the Flamingo. The pool was a disappointment. The pool was small and there was only one hot tub. The casino in the hotel was okay. There is not much action. If you want more games to play, then obviously you would have to go to the strip.”

• Far exceeded our expectations. Perfect amenities in the rooms.
• We loved everything and would stay again.

“This hotel far exceeded our expectations. We were initially concerned about the location but soon realized it was excellent with close proximity to the strip (one block) and the monorail system. We found the hotel to be a perfect size whereby you can enter and exit your room quickly without having to navigate a maze. The room was well appointed and had excellent amenities, better than any we have stayed in, even the 5 diamond hotels. The room was quiet and the bed was a delight. This is highly recommended for those who want a bit of peace and quiet after a long night out but still some resort qualities and within close proximity of the Strip.”

“This hotel is just behind the Flamingo on the South Strip. The staff is very customer service oriented and there to help you whenever you need it. There is a happy hour from 5-7 where hotel guests are able to partake in free hrs d'oevres along with wine and other alcoholic beverages. It's a great hotel and a block or two behind the South Strip. So everything is right there at your fingertips.”

• Pets being allowed to stay.

“My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the price. The location in conjunction to the Strip was nice the hotel staff and amenities were nice enough. However, for a 4 star hotel we expected our room to be a little nicer. The cleanliness of the room was adequate. We used the gym and day spa, both were excellent. When we first arrived, there was a dog in the next room that wasn't suppose to be on our floor. Bottom line, we would stay there again.”

• I loved that there were 2 complimentary water bottles waiting for us in our room. Especially since we were there in the heat of July.
• The theme song Viva Las Vegas sung by Elvis and at times Dolly Parton played every time we got into the garage elevator got pretty annoying!

“Our room was nice and clean, had a view of the Vegas city lights though it was around the corner and one block away from the main drag. The hotel provided complimentary water bottles in our room which was great given it was so hot in July. Within walking distance to the Flamingo, Venetian, Ceasars Palace, The Bellagio etc. We had a nice experience.”

• The location was somewhat out of the way and in a fairly rundown area.

“This is a smaller hotel that is not directly on the strip in Las Vegas. If you are looking for something low key, yet well appointed, this would be a good hotel to stay in. The available amenities were nice.”

“Nice hotel. Rooms were very nicely appointed and spacious. Restaurant is overpriced for this hotel. People do not want to spend this much to eat here when there are so many better alternatives right on the strip. Should either have a more modestly priced casual restaurant or a cheaper alternative.”

• The bed was fantastic.
• Carpets were very worn and stained in room and hallway. Housekeeping.

“The hotel is well situated, two blocks from the center of the Las Vegas strip. Hotel staff was aloof and not friendly. Housekeeping was awful, did not refill toiletries, coffee, sugar etc and did not clean room on the final day of our stay we had to call down for towels etc to be sent up. The bed was awesome and room was nice overall, except for threadbare and stained carpet in room and hallway.”

“Great hotel if you are looking to stay off the strip a bit. Bally's is right next door, so the walk is a breeze. Very good shower pressure, clean room, heavenly bed, and Starbucks coffee. The view is of nothing but a wall, casino is very small, and the elevators look like they need tlc. Overall, would surely stay again.”

“The staff was nice and the bed was comfy. We had ants, though. Lots of them. Also, the hotel charged an outrageous $13.99 a day for internet access and $10 a day for some kind of misc. Fees. We would not stay there again.”

• Smaller, quiet hotel for being so close to the LV Strip.
• Location was close to the Strip, but I would not take the walk alone at night.

“The room was very nice wide bed, nice bathroom. The casino was small and on the quiet side, but had quite a few games available. It is a relatively smoke-free casino (which was great!) and they also play great music. The restaurant was nice, prices seemed reasonable, and they offered free drinks and appetizers to their Rewards Club members. Overall experience was great!”
