  • Facilities, nice suites.
  • Towers where we stayed are a bit of a walk from the strip.

“Convenient parking, Professional helpful staff, clean spacious and upscale suites. Multitude of shopping, dining and leisure. Renovated and well kept. Signature towers are a couple of blocks from the main south strip.”

  • The room was beautiful, until you looked closely.
  • The cleanliness and service.

“We had so many problems with this hotel. We stayed at hotels all the time and never had it this bad. This was a special surprise for my fiance. I arrived and figured out that there had already been someone assigned to our room and then moved because of the air conditioning. We came back at 1 am and the hallway was like an oven. We called down to guest services. They offered to move us, which they did. The new room was no better because it had been turned up to 80 degrees, literally. While waiting for the room to cool off, we went to the casino and returned at around 5 am. We pulled back the sheets and found about 7-9 old stains. We called down and they finally sent someone up to change the sheets. It wasn't until close to 6am that we were able to go to bed. We called down for a late check out because of the situation, and they actually gave us a hassle, when I thought surely they'd at least offer an extra night on them. We won't ever go back to the MGM and we certainly won't recommend it to any of our friends or family who come to visit.”

  • Wet Republic Ultra pool was fantastic. Restaurants were great.
  • Business center internet fees were super expensive!

“The hotel was great. I had tremendous luck at the roulette table. I went to a few of the shows. The Wet Republic ultra pool lounge was super fun with some of the best looking people in Vegas dancing and sun bathing. There was plenty to do inside MGM. Studio 54 is a must for people who like the night scene.”

  • Room wasn't ready at check in time, other room was dirty.

“For the price it wasn't what it should have been. At check in time of 3:00 pm the rooms were not ready and we had to wait, we had 2 rooms one for me, my 2 daughters. The other for my husband and 2 sons, their room was left in disarray, you could smell smoke, alcohol was left in there etc.”

  • Shower head.

“The hotel was clean and well run. The staff was friendly and accommodated some of our specific needs very quickly. The bed was also very comfortable. Be aware if you have allergies that the pillows and bedding are all stuffed with feathers. However, the shower head had too much water pressure and was somewhat painful. Overall, a positive experience and I would stay again.”

  • Restaurants were average, but lots of fast food options.

“We had a great time, staff was great, location great, so many pools! Right on the monorail and close to bus stops for those who like to avoid cabs. Also gave us a great room upgrade to a celebrity spa suite. The breakfast at the hotel cafe was less than great - hash browns tasted like plastic. That's my only critique.”

  • Lots of entertainment and the atmosphere were great.
  • It took 35 to 40 minutes to check in.

“All was good except the check in. When we bought dinner and show tickets, the restaurant did not have confirmation of our reservations either. After dinner and the show which was exceptional I had gotten sick in the middle of the night thought the next morning till check out. Thought I might have gotten food poisoning at the Seablue restaurant as that was our only meal for the evening.”

  • I did not like that the club charged a cover and then closed an hour later.

“You would barely have to leave the hotel to get all of the Vegas experience. From the lions on display, to the great restaurants to shopping and gambling. The hotel had every amenity other than coffee makers or refrigerators in the room.”

  • Unfriendly staff.

“The lady who checked us in was very rude in the beginning. Her temper changed after a few minutes and she gave us a very nice strip view 18th floor room. I don't know why she behaved like that but it is a pretty bad first experience wit the MGM staff. Rooms are very nice and clean. We stayed there for two nights which was way to short. It is a long walk to the pool area. Expensive restaurants (even the buffets).”

  • You didn't have to leave. It had everything.
  • No in-room coffee maker, fridge, microwave.

“MGM Grand has everything you need if you're not one to walk long distances up and down the strip. The room views are great especially at night. However, our room had an old chaise lounge missing some buttons and there were corn nuts on the floor. Also disappointed that an in-room fridge was $35/day extra, no coffeemaker or microwave. Only the pillows I will rate a 4-star quality. This is really a 3 to 3 1/2-star hotel in this writer's opinion.”

  • When I checked in I got a free upgrade to a wonderful suite.
  • There was a weird drain sound in the bathroom every once and a while.

“The hotel was great! I got a free room upgrade when I checked in. We got a huge suite with a great shower and separate bathtub. The bed was huge and there was a swivel TV so you could watch it in the living room area then turn it to watch it in bed. Room service was great. I ordered the steak and lobster and it was fantastic!”

“It was surprising for me to learn that the casinos and bars in the lass Vegas strip area do not restrict cigarette smoking. And people smoke like chimneys there. I would not go back just for that reason. Also, I appreciate that the hotel does not control access to the elevators. But it does mean that spume pretty shady people are milling about on the room floors.”

  • Got "upgraded" to MGM Signature Tower, but it was about 2 blocks off the strip.

“I got upgraded to the MGM signature tower, which was quite nice, once I found it. However, the towers are way-way off the strip, at least 3 blocks away from the strip. It was fine, because I was only staying one night. However, had I intended to do things along Las Vegas Blvd, I would have been disappointed. The room seemed very much like a vacation time-share facility, but it was very nice.”

  • There were no vending machines for a late night snack or drink. My husband was gone for 30 minutes looking for a place to get a bottle of water.

“We were upgraded to a jr. suite at no extra charge and that was great. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms beautiful. The only big negative is that there are no vending machines on the hotel floors to get something to eat or drink once you are in the room for the night. Very inconvenient.”

  • Service was awesome. Very professional and up to date.
  • Room was not cleaned very well. We found black hair in the bath robes and the bath tub. Kind of gross.

“This was a very comfortable experience for us. My wife and I found it very easy to find our way around and loved the food that this hotel had to offer. The service was amazing and organized. I love the free valet parking.”

  • The staff was rude and un accommodating to my requests and needs.

“I will never stay at this hotel again. I requested a king size bed/room on my reservation. When I got there they put me in a queen size room, however, put my friend (who requested the same room) into a 2 story suite which had a king size bed and much more amenities. When I spoke to the manager on duty his attitude was oh well, tough luck on your part. I feel as though MGM, who owns many hotels on the strip, could not accommodate my requests with another one of their facilities. They were unwilling to look for me and told me if I did not want to stay, they would refund me my money and I can look for another hotel on my own. I did just that the next night. I booked a room at the MGM signature where I was treated as I would expect. The rooms at the MGM were not as nice, clean or comfortable and I will never stay at the MGM hotel & casino again.”

“The MGM is a definitely a 4 star hotel. The rooms were clean and excellent service throughout. Many complain of the size/walk of the hotel but I didn't find it any different than the other strip hotels. I will make one comment the gaming is poor. The increased odds bothered me a bit i.e. ' commissions paid and ties go to the house on split hands for Pai Gow, the double 00 on the roulette table, etc. And according to my wife, the slots were very tight. Normally she could play at lengths before losing all of her stack. That was not the case at the MGM and their family of casinos including the Bellagio. Also, cocktail waitresses were hard to find and service was slow. So my recommendation, stay at the hotel enjoy the sites & shows but limit the gambling or at the very least gamble in Henderson.”

  • The location was great. Also we found the room very clean.

“This is an awesome casino/hotel, very close to the strip and free monorail. The buffet breakfast was expensive but wonderful. People are allowed to smoke everywhere so if your are sensitive to smoke stay elsewhere. The rooms are big and clean and the beds are very comfortable.”
