- Fancy.
- Construction was heard from all over the hotel.
“We were given a room on 3rd floor. Construction workers started at 5:30 am. We were giving another room. Again workers above us, same thing. After the 3rd move we finally heard no construction. If we had known this, had not stayed there. Do you know of the hassle of moving room to room and tipping the bell boys 3 times in 3 days. This 3 first days ruined my vacation and I am very angry about the whole situation.”

- Tuscany rooms are the best. Comfy bed, spa jet, robes.
- Not enough pools.
“Check in is always very quick and efficient. Room is clean. Bed very comfortable. Nice area to sit and relax. Big plasma TV. Robes in closet. Spa bath with TV in bathroom. Separate shower. Nice toiletries. Biscotti's is my favorite place to eat. Second best is the sports deli. Soon they will have two pools and two Jacuzzis, spa. I look forward to coming back in the fall when remodel is complete.”

“1st we where told the pool was open till 10 and I attempted to take my kids swimming at 7:55 its closed. We had major construction outside our window, no warning & no warning next to ice machine arcade for the kids have outrageous prizes. beautiful atmosphere and wonderful restaurants.”

- It was clean, the staffs were friendly and helpful, and the hotel offered coupons for the coffee shop & restaurants.
- The decor in the room was rather dated, which brought my star rating down to a 3*.
“I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Guest rooms were clean, public areas also clean. Wait staff in coffee shop very friendly and attentive. The concierge staff was helpful on more than one occasion. The decor of the rooms is rather dated and could use some sniffing up. Overall, I felt safe and welcome in this hotel.”

“Rooms were decent and a good value for the price. Though, having this in the 4 star category is an overstatement. The wing our room was in was a distance from the check-in (which is only accessed via a casino) and the covered parking was a trek as well.”

- The newly remodel rooms are beautiful!
- It would be nice if there were more kid friendly things to do.

- Excellent rooms with Jacuzzi bath-tub.
“Great rooms. We were upgraded to Tuscan Tower Suites at check-in. We were provided with the requested crib, but no crib mattress. The Jacuzzi bath-tub was a great feature. Large arcade games area for kids. There was just one problem. When we used a self-service kiosk to check out, our credit cards were billed for room charges. These charges were reversed by the hotel front-desk, but only after a long wait. Also, we were charged a $5.00 resort fee in addition to room charge. We were not made aware of this charge at the time of check in.”

- The entire place is beautiful. The room was romantic and very comfortable. Nice Furniture and paintings.
- I would have liked a small frig and a coffee maker in the room.
“The room was very comfortable and beautiful. Nice comfortable fluffy bed. The variety of casinos, restaurants, bars and shopping make it really nice to stay there not have to go anywhere else. We enjoyed a nice lunch in the Island buffet. The food was excellent, and the service was very good and friendly. We do plan to go back and stay longer.”

- I had a beautifully remodeled room that was clean, comfortable & quiet. .
- The casino was too Smokey, they need better ventilation.
“I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night and I was very pleased with my accommodations. The newly remodeled room was great! The food in the coffee shop was average. The biggest negative I found was that the air quality in the casino was poor-they need better ventilation for us non-smokers. I don't hang out in the casino-so I would definitely stay at the hotel again. Great value.”

- Poor layout.
“Once construction is completed this will be a 4 star hotel. As it stands its a nice 3 star, parking is problematic and there can be quite a distance between your car and your room (park on level 4 down to level one across to casino, down to desk back up to another level across building and then back up to room).”

- They upgraded my stay and it was magnificent.
- The lobby smelled of cigarettes and stale.
“The hotel in general was very nice because I was upgraded to the Tuscany Towers. I do not know how the regular hotel would be but the towers were wonderful and new. The room was very spacious and have a large screen TV in the main room and another plasma TV in the bathroom. The bathroom was the size of another room and was very luxurious.”

“Can't complain for the price. However, the room looked like a 1970's flashback; the room's refrigerator was locked; the hotel didn't stock drinking water; the valet failed to provide a claim ticket and lost the keys to the car and we had to look for them in their key rack. Also, the self-checkout didn't work. But for the price, the room was reasonable, beds were a nice size, and the buffet was decent. Aside from the valet blunder, hotel service was fast, friendly, and helpful.”

- Had arcade for children, I had the most fun at the arcade with my son.
- The restaurants are not casual friendly. We did not feel welcomed by any of the eating facilities in the Hotel.
“The hotel itself was great. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip, the Pepermill is the hotel for you. I suggest that if you are a very casual person like myself, the in hotel restaurants are not for you. There is a great steak house across the street Ruby River. Steak House beat out any restaurant, I have been too in years. You can go in your jeans and t-shirt. The reservation desk staff is top notch. If you have children they have a great arcade. My thirteen year old and I had so much fun at the arcade while my husband played Poker.”

- Only that they tried to get us to pay more saying they would put us in another building if we didn't.
“The hotel was very nice. We went with friends that were made to pay a substantial amount more for a different room saying there were no more available in the building. When we showed up we said we will not pay more and will not go to another building and then they accommodated us.”

- The front desk staff was not helpful or accommodating at all.
“The room was not ready when we arrived at the hotel. The staff said there was something wrong with the system check in. We needed a room to change for our friends wedding and they didn't accommodate us at all. We weren't advised where we could leave our luggage and ended up being late to the wedding. We were treated as if we were lower class.”

- Because I didn't pay rack rate, was put into an old room.
“Isolated from the other hotel, stinky smoker room, old banged up and worn out furniture, bedcovers worn with cigarette burns, generally, clean and functional, but just old and in need of a refurbishment. I should have slept in my SUV and saved the money. Also, hit me with a energy fee of $5.60. I will never stay at the Peppermill again.”

- Public areas of older parts of hotel dirty. Rooms dated.
“While the Peppermill Casino is a fun place, the older parts of this hotel are showing serious wear (Montego wing). Room decor seriously dated in this wing as well. At check in, hotel staff pushed me to upgrade to a more expensive room, and declined to give me the non-smoking room I had asked for at time of reservation. Seemed like "bait and switch" to me.”

- The staff was very friendly.
- Stains on comforter, filthy chairs, no screens on windows, dated & faded furniture.
“The over-all hotel was nice as was the service. We were in town for a wedding and most of the guests as well as the wedding party stayed there. While all the other rooms were renovated we were given a room that had stains on the comforter, chairs that plumed dust when you sat in them, dated furniture that looked like a set from the movie Casino, no screens on the windows, we called numerous times to have the mini fridge opened to no avail and my friend left with bed-bug bites.”

- The suite they upgraded us to was very nice.
- Housekeeping can't come into your room unless you're in it.
“I liked being upgraded to the Tuscan Tower Suite, however, it only had a king bed and we had to ask for a rollaway bed.”

- Hotel staff very helpful and took time to check all.
- Nothing.
“The Peppermill is very well kept, staff is outstanding, food great, clean and a fun place to be. Lots of good things to do in the hotel. Very pleased with it all.”

- All the employees are very polite, nice, and fun.
- I'm speechless.
“This is, without a doubt, the funniest place to be in Reno. It is a destination hotel/casino. I didn't have to leave the hotel the whole weekend. Extraordinary employees. They all are polite. Even the maids greet you as you pass by them in the hall.”

- It was new.
- Food was not as good as it should have been.
“We were supposed to stay in a regular room. They offered us an upgrade. We declined, but were given the upgrade at the same price. The hotel was fantastic, the food was not as good as we thought it should be.”

- Friendly staff and plenty to do.
- Maze like design and perhaps too much colorful neon on interior.
“The hotel/casino was very clean and had full service of restaurants and gaming. We enjoyed our stay and were satisfied with the facility and staff.”
