• it was walking distance from the city centre and it had excellent leisure facilities

“this hotel was in an excellent location,it was right next to the granado studios and it was walking distance from the city centre.All the staff were really nice and the food there was lovely.I will be going back to Manchester for the summer and i will def”

• Excellent liesure facilities - with a pool that is big enough to swim in.
• Modem point in the room was hidden and was bust. Television pretty small and few channels, no films etc

“If you want to stay somewhere with first class liesure facilities and you are not overly demanding for the rest then this is excellent. Rooms, breakfast, bar food are all OK but not great. Location is excellent - quiet, next to canal, but walking distance from City Centre (tram nearby too). Overall very good value for money.”

• Excellent location, value for money
• Breakfast suprisingly included but quite poor.

“Acceptable room for the price paid. Fab location and very friendly staff. The Hotel has their own car park for hotel guests which appears to be quite rare these days. We stayed here as everywhere else was booked up or requesting silly prices. I will however return now I've been introduced.”

• It was clean, airy and close to the city centre.
• More information on the area and proximity to locations of interest would be useful. A map of manchester city centre would have been useful on arrival .

“The hotel is centrally located, breakfast in the morning was healthy and varied. Dining in the hotel was competitively priced. The bar and reception area were comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious and clean.”

• Availability of gym facilities without leaving the premises, close location to Metrolink and train stations as well as cinemas.
• The machines in the gym could do with a thorough cleaning, the carpet in the room needs also some cleaning.

“Comfortable and convenient hotel, I booked specificallly for the gym facilities and its closeness to metrolink and train stations (hint: don't follow the signs to GMEX to get to the hotel, go out in the opossite side, then go down under the bridge and turn left, that is Liverpool Road).

The room is acceptable, although it could do with a cleaning of the carpet.”

• Extremely handy for the social event we were attending. The rate we paid was very good.
• Reception staff continuing their personal conversation while checking us into the hotel - so rude!

“As above - it is extremely unpleasant to be dealt with as an interruption to the social conversation happening behind reception.
Hotel otherwise very comfortable, convenient etc, although we were very surprised to find the bar closed, even for residents, at 11pm. We had just returned from a function and would have welcomed a night cap!”

• All of the staff were very helful and friendly. Good location.
• V uncomfortable bed too near to the noisy corridor. Room was too hot. Also the restaurant was poor.

“Slightly misleading by saying it was very near to Old Trafford and central also same rate online as booking by telephone but unable to cancel at short notice if booked online. Staff were very friendly and helpful and stay was quite good except for the awful lumpy mattress and pillow!”

• Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly. Good food and drink, pleasant atmosphere.
• Uncomfortable bed

“In general a nice place to stay. The staff were excellent, very friendly and always helpful. The food was very good as was the breakfast. My only grumble would be that the bed was not very comfortable.”

• Good secure parking. Excellent breakfast. Good central location. Excellent leisure facilities.
