• The staff was very helpful and very polite.
• There is nothing I did not like.

“The hotel was amazing. The room was very clean and well supplied. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The area was in a good location. The restaurant was very good. The pool was also good seeing, it was on the rooftop with lawn chairs. It is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it to everyone.”

• Clean, comfortable, modern, spacey, classy.
• Parking I guess could have been cheaper but for one night only it was reasonable.

• Staff was great. My husband and I were there for our 7 year anniversary and they gave us a room upgrade and complimentary chocolate covered strawberries.
• The hotel was not in the center of everything but the Subway was a short distance away so it was still conveniently located.

“I was really skeptical about this hotel. We normally stay at the hotel in Toronto and love it. But this hotel measured up really well. As I said before the staff was great from the front desk, to the concierge to the woman that cleaned our room. The restaurant was a little pricey. We ate breakfast there and the pancakes were fabulous but there are other restaurants that are nearby if you would liked to eat somewhere that is less expensive. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Rooms were smaller then expected.

“Organized a Bachelorette party for a friend. Was a great stay. Enjoyed having 2 rooms side by side with a door in the middle for easy access. The restaurants in the hotel were a little pricey, but we managed to find cheaper restaurants around the area. The pool and sauna area were nice. I would've expected the sauna to be a lot bigger, it only fit 4 people max! Overall it was a nice experience. If you want to stay in the heart of Toronto, then this hotel is not the right place for you to stay.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful.
• The room could have been larger for a 4* hotel.

“This hotel has a dark feeling. Simply because there is not enough lighting throughout. The staff was helpful and friendly and kind. The room could have been larger and more brightly lit; the parking was too expensive as was the breakfast in room service. The location is excellent for Downtown / Yorkville area.”

• They were very helpful. When my room was not ready they upgraded me.
• Parking is expensive.

“A great location in the heart of Yorkville, close to shopping, museums, University of Toronto. The room was large and extremely comfortable with a feather bed and down pillows. Room service was quick and the food was excellent. I was sorry to have to leave.”

• Excellent service and location. Close to high end shops.
• Parking, charge for internet unlike other Intercontinental.

“This hotel was chosen for its location to both fun and work. It is close to the Toronto General Hospital, Royal Ontario Museum and to all the wonderful shopping on Bloor Street (Chanel Boutique, Hermes, Max Mara, Prada, Montblanc Boutique, Tiffany & Co., Cole Haan, Lacoste, Godiva, Birks, Bulgari and Aveda. Stand on the south side and look north at Harry Rosen, Holt Renfrew, Christofle, Plaza Escada, Cartier, Bang & Olufsen, Roots, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Swarovski.).The parking is not great, but that's typical of downtown Toronto. Valet is expensive at $30 CDN. The internet was surprisingly not complimentary, as it is at the Front Street Intercontinental.The hotel staff were wonderful. They were able to accomodate my request for early check-in, late check out, double beds and a no-smoking room. The concierge staff bent over backwards to see to my requests for a rental car and spa services.This was a great find, and I would return to it in a Toronto minute.”

• Could not access voice mail. Issue was not fixed. Limited amenities.

“I enjoyed my stay there. The hotel did not offer a lot of amenities. I was charged for the coffee bags that I used. Other hotels do not charge for such bags. At three dollars a bag, it adds up very fast.”

• The room was big and there was a shower and bath in the restroom.
• Front desk was not friendly except for the intern working there.

“The location isn't that great, but the room is above par. So if you want a great room and don't care about the location then this is the hotel for you.”

• The rooms are surprisingly small.

“Excellent location, delightful outdoor dining with an imaginative menu, extremely courteous and knowledgeable front of house staff. Housekeeping staff were charming and efficient.”

• Room badly designed, no view, exterior noise, squeaky door, no free premium TV (HBO), Internet too expensive.

“Aspires to be a four-star hotel, but really isn't. Needs refurnishing. Room badly designed. For example, TV can't be easily viewed from bed. Free newspapers delivered to room. Marvelous location, right by subway station serving both the blue and yellow lines and many fine stores, theaters. Internet cost C$15 per day.”

• This is a very posh & upscale hotel, and you feel like royalty.
• The floor our hotel was on had a bad odor, and the location was far from many attractions.

“This hotel was excellent for the price we paid. The only bad thing is I would prefer to stay in more of a downtown location in Toronto by many of the things we wanted to do. Everyone made us feel like a king & queen.”

• I LIKED EVERYTHING - perfect location, very professional staff, great quality, comfort, pleasant design
• I liked all.

“HOtel was great - very good room, pool, sauna. Staff was very friendly. I would reccomend to anybody. Very comfortable bed, a lot of space in the room and bathroom. GO and stay there - you will love it.”

• Cleanliness and location excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Accommodated my needs for quiet.
• No shuttle from airport. Two other major hotels around corner, should "pool" a shuttle.

“Very pleasant hotel, enjoying a good location. Provides excellent, friendly service. Only negative was the expense of travelling to and from the airport, as there is no shuttle. Around the corner are two other major hotels, so they should cooperate to provide a less expensive alternative to and from the airport.”

• Terrific staff, all of whom went the "extra mile", wonderful large, quiet room, elegant.
• Phone calls made, but never connected still charged. Mini bar charge made for use of ice bucket or wine glasses.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental & would be delighted to stay there again. It is close to the transit system and a short ride to anywhere. The rooms were luxurious and very comfortable. The two people working at the concierge desk (Carolina & Orson) were really helpful and friendly, obviously dedicated to their jobs. All other staff were equally friendly and efficient. ”

• Located next to subway station, close to fine restaurants, comfortable bedding.
• No pool, no free breakfast.
