  • Excellent location near Big Ben, lovely large room.
  • Pool was not open to children after 7 pm.

“Excellent location, large rooms, and the hotel restaurant was wonderful. There's a beautiful pool but children may only use it from 9 until 7. The workout facilities are robust. There are not too many restaurants near the hotel.”

  • Great location.
  • Work still in progress.

“It was a great hotel in one of the most expensive cities in the world. The rooms are ample, new, well decorated and with a view of the Thames.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Location was fantastic.
  • Some construction on main entrance.

“Perfectly located hotel in the heart of London next to the London Eye and across the Thames from Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and houses of Parliament.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Great view and location. Nice pool and health club.
  • Smoking smell in the guest room, long walk to room.

“The staff tried hard to please, but not very attentive in general. Long hall from side door to the reception and long hallway to get to rooms. Lingering cigarette smoke smell in a non smoking room in a non smoking hotel! Overall, short walk to the train station and to the tube with great view of the big ben across the river Thames.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[1] • Location:[9]

  • Location. Near to Waterloo Pier, Train Station and Underground, Parliament, London Eye.
  • Staff don't think customer matters. They make u feel like u are staying at local motel.

“I would not recommend this hotel. It's not worth the money. I would try Ritz or Hilton next time. Staff got to learn being courteous and friendly.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The location was the best. You could walk to a great number of the attractions along the river and the scenery of Big Ben from the window was great.
  • Construction at the main entrance which I assume will be over soon.

“Very pleased with all things related to this hotel. Convenient to get to and a beautiful area of London. The Westminster Abby, the Tate Modern Gallery, the Eye, London aquarium and many other attractions are right there including a nice boardwalk along the river. It was close to the Waterloo Subway with connections at Victoria station to the Gatwick Express train to the airport. Was very happy with this as did not want to hire a car. A great way to spend three days in London.”

  • Great location, amazing gym - best hotel gym ever.
  • Difficult access to lobby and rooms.

“Mixed review of the staff - some fantastic, some horrible; broken phone.”

  • The view. My window viewed the Parliament Building, Big Ben and Thames river. Friendly staff.
  • Can't think of a thing.

“View, staff pleasant and helpful, location, restaurant excellent [fire alarm went off during dinner but was quickly resolved]. Would recommend first time visitors to London this hotel. Right next to London Eye.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Large rooms especially for London, Excellent location.
  • Long elevator waits and extremely long walk down corridors to hotel room.

“A good quality Marriott, but really a 4 star hotel by U.S. standards.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • Cleanliness.
  • Bag handlers and greeters always chatting with one another.

“Located across from Big Ben in a historic building, this hotel felt dark and confining. Rooms are as far from the elevator as 1/8 mile of long circuitous corridors. View windows on the Thames were so high one could not fully enjoy the scene. The concierge was often engaged in conversation with other hotel employees and the night concierge was of no help at all. Reception personnel were helpful but somewhat snooty. Our final bill was all wrong, with charges we didn't make and the charges we did make were not on it. Construction made it necessary to enter through a back way that was dark, dreary and, frankly, scary. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • Location was good and bad, Busy during day.
  • Too quiet at night. No dining around.

“5,300,000 square feet of building. Great location where we were looking at the London Eye. But several hundred yards from the entrance of the hotel to our low numbered room. A major walk after walking London. But great in most other ways. Beds very comfortable and very quiet!”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Best location in all of London.
  • Renovations made it difficult to get in/out.

“The perfect location within walking distance to nearly everything in central London. Very helpful concierge and staff.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Location! Beautiful views. Wonderful Hotel.
  • Restaurant was expensive but food was only ok.

“We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was wonderful right between two tubes. Loads of attractions within walking distances and everything else was a quick tube ride away. The hotel was beautiful and great location and amenities. Staff was friendly and very attentive. This was our first time to London.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • The rooms were large, attractive, and the staff was tremendously professional.
  • It took forever to get to our room. The front entrance has been closed for several months because of repairs (leak, etc.)

“It was impossible to simply go out of the building for a quick stroll. The main lobby and registration were a long distance from the back of the hotel.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[1]

  • The room was clean.
  • It was old, remote to a tube and wildly overpriced.

“The hotel was wildly overpriced. The rooms were adequate but the hairdryer didn't work and I received little satisfaction when I complained about it. The front desk staff told me that such problems are common in most hotels! I am 60 years old. I have traveled to 56 countries in my long work career and I am told by a 23 year old that this" is quite common in many hotels!". The concierge was, I must admit, excellent! A two star Holiday Inn in Omaho would be my choice over this hotel.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Great location and beautiful spacious hotel rooms.
  • Long walk to lifts.

“Likely the best hotel I have ever stayed in - very luxurious and comfortable rooms in the heart of London. Our room looked over the River Thames and was larger then most North American rooms - unbelievable for London.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Great room, spa, and location.
  • Concierge was friendly, but not real helpful.

“This was a great hotel (with reasonably sized rooms), a wonderful pool, workout rooms, and spa. It is next to the London Eye, Aquarium, Parliament, and the Tate Modern.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Large, very spacious room for a London hotel.
  • Main hotel entrance under construction which required entry from street closed to traffic, had to walk 200 yds to flag down taxi.

“Almost non-existent doorman/bellman services. Main hotel entrance under construction requiring walk to rear of building for entry. Once inside the hotel, everything was perfect. Friendly, helpful staff, spacious comfortable and well appointed room with great view of the Thames River, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. Television had smallish screen. Hotel isn't a Four Seasons, but a great value for the price.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The location is fantastic, the views spectacular, close to public transit, great staff.
  • While the views were legendary and rooms were large, I expected them to be higher quality inside for a 5-star hotel.

“The views are legendary, spectacular scenes of London overlooking the Thames, London Eye, Parliament & Big Ben. The rooms are very large for London, but were furnished a a four-star rating, albeit very clean with good wireless connections. The hotel staff was immensely helpful, whether it be wakeup calls, room service, business services or recommending the best Saville Row tailor to alter a ball gown for a formal event at the end of the week. The location couldn't be better, close to Waterloo station and at the foot of the Westminster Bridge. Would recommend it to anyone. It is a very good deal, especially given the dollar's declining value.”
