“Overall it was very pleasant. I arrived late and was tired and the beds were very comfortable. Parking is adequate but a long walk to reception. The only bad item was the strong urine odor coming from the toilet. I think they need to use fresheners.”

“Excellent hotel. Good bar area with flight info on the monitors. Nice service shuttle to the front door of your terminal. Excellent for the business traveler. I took a taxi too the hotel to say time. About 4.50 pounds. Then shuttle on the return.”

“The hotels staff needs to realize that guests, pay to stay there. And can choose to stay anywhere. The hotel's staff should be friendly to their guests and not so rude. People there acted like they were doing us a favor for simply doing there job.”

“The staff went out of their way to meet our needs; there were snacks in the lobby 24 hours. The shuttle service was excellent. Rooms very large, best bed I have ever slept in. Would definitely stay there again, very quiet.”

“This hotel has excellent facilities for travelers. The pool and spa area are excellent. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. They are undergoing refurbishment at this time but it is being very well managed. Airport shuttles convenient, hotel staff especially friendly and helpful. Great traveler hotel!”

“Shuttle service was adequate. Warm and efficient check in allowed me to check in early when I asked if they could hold my bags until the afternoon. Very disappointed at the non availability of food after 11 pm. The staff brusquely informed me the kitchen was closed. A satisfactory stay and met most of my needs (except the need for food when returning to the hotel at 11pm).”

“I would certainly stay at the Marriott again as the free shuttle was convenient for the airport running every half an hour and it was a good overnight choice. I was upgraded to an Executive Double room which was wonderful, extremely comfortable and very nicely decorated. The Executive lounge only provided a small selection of complimentary soft drinks, but was a nice quiet space in which to relax and read the paper. Waitress service was available in there from the bar and restaurant. I did not have the opportunity to try the complimentary breakfast in the morning as I valued my sleep too much, but a continental breakfast is served from 6.30 for those who have access. Overall, I had a very positive experience.”

“Spacious room with very comfortable bed. Well equipped and spacious bathroom with good shower flow. Good shuttle service to Manchester airport. However, cleanliness not up to usual Marriott standards-debris from previous guest spotted on carpet.”

“We had a mix up with an order for a party of 5 people. The server failed to order one of the meals. When he offered to replace the missing order with any item on the menu at no cost, we were left waiting for 45 minutes until the meal was brought. The rest of the party had waited until the could no longer for fear of their food getting cold. The free meal was refused when ultimately delivered.”

“At check in, all staff on duty were new trainees and not yet competent; poor management to have only trainees at the desk. When an experienced person did show up, she was very, very attentive. Large, comfortable rooms in awkward sprawling layout.”

“Marriott Manchester stated that they were sold out and moved me to a less expensive hotel within the airport complex. I have a feeling they wanted to sell my room for the full price so they used a "sold out" line. I was very disappointed that they used these tactics to make a few pounds.”

“It's clean, the down comforters and sheets luxurious and the mattresses fine. We walked to a pub down the road for food and drink because the hotel's options were very expensive. Overall, a great experience. ”
