“Great top quality hotel. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Within walking distance to all of Manchester City Centre. Though on the extreme edge so can be a 15-20 minute walk wherever you are going. However, the hotel is also right on the free Metro Shuttle to get you to public transport anywhere in the city/region. Definitely would consider this hotel again for a future trip!”

“Very nice hotel. Combines an older building with an updated look. Rooms are small, but you're in Europe and that's the way it is everywhere. At least it was a queen sized bed.”

“This hotel is actually closer to the City Center than shown on the online map services. The staff was great and the room was SPOTLESS. I would definitely enjoy staying at this hotel again.”

“The hotel was good and clean, but the weird thing was that I put the sign of dont disturb and the house keeping entered and clean the room! It wasnt a big problem but weird! The location was fine we walked for all places we want to go to.”

“The location Is Ideal -- a short walk to the commercial centre but In a quiet and green area. The conversion of the building makes for Interesting rooms. The staff was friendly and competent. Broadband Internet access Is a big plus but the price Is robbery for a hotel of this quality and a Marriott.”

“The V&A in Manchester was superbly located for me as I was visiting the Science museum and the Granada studios-for those wanting the city centre a walk of 10 minutes takes you there so it's ideal if you want to be close but not right in the heart of this magnificent city. This hotel is a converted mill and has wooden beams and character a plenty. The staff are charming and discreet, there was an international celebrity staying at the hotel and not a word was mentioned-a contrast to other hotels I've stayed in and to be applauded. Breakfast-was excellent although service was a little slow and sometimes it was hard to attract the attention of the serving staff. The hot water system failed at 7am and was out for about an hour one morning, Hopefully a one off occurrence. Overall an excellent stay.”

“My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night. I was most impressed with the quality and experience of the staff. The hotel had a quiet, serene atmosphere. The rooms were one of the most spacious that Ive ever stayed in including America.”

“The atmosphere was good and the room clean and comfortable. The staff was difficult and not as helpful as they could have been.”

“I would and already have recommended this hotel to friends. It was converted from an old warehouse. The outer walls have beautiful brick and the ceilings have large timber beams running through the rooms and halls.”

“A lovely hotel which retains some character and history of the building in which it is housed with its exposed brick and large oak beams. The room interior is well designed and the bed very comfortable. The room air conditioning was very welcome during our summer stay and the staff very hospitable and friendly. There was a good selection of food at breakfast and the room had a well stocked hospitality tray/kettle etc. There are irons/ironing boards in the rooms but we found them not very useful (board sloped and iron not very hot when on full). The location was ok for most city center attractions which were within walking distance as Manchester seems a very compact city. Overall a very enjoyable stay at this clean and friendly hotel. We most definitely would stay again.”

“The staff are very professional and courteous. The rooms are very clean and the air conditioning system is good. Its a little far from the train station, but then, most places are still within walking distance.”

“The hotel is located in a repurposed warehouse with elegant, modern decor. Rooms had excellent lighting, heating/cooling. The staff were extremely helpful, professional, and pleasant. The location is convenient to major center city attractions, transportation, and shopping.”
