• It was a nice hotel if you just needed a place to sleep.
• Small room and no amenities.

“London is very expensive and I guess this hotel is a good value. If you just need a place to sleep and want a no frills, no extras hotel room, then this will work. The location was quiet and only a five minute walks to the nearest tube station.”

• The room was very clean, and the staff was helpful.
• The room I was given was in the basement below grade.

“The hotel appeared to be undergoing renovations during my stay - the door of my room was surrounded by drop cloths and tools for painting. The room I was given was in the basement and as a result had no natural light. However, the room was very clean, and the staff was very helpful in providing the information I needed for my stay in London.”

• Wonderful location and architecture.
• Parking our rental car was difficult, but this is London.

• We were upgraded to a very nice, large room.
• Breakfast was minimal and the same every day.

“This hotel was as good or better than we expected. After a brief snafu regarding our reservations, we were booked into a much larger room on the top floor. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. The continental breakfast was the same every morning -- more variety would have been nice. We would definitely stay there again.”

• The hotel is situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood, and the rooms are clean and tidy.
• The breakfast service left much to be desired, nice staff but poor food.

“Overall, this is a good choice for travelers who are not looking for anything breathtakingly luxurious, but are rather looking for a simple hotel with basic accommodations.”

• Quiet location, clean room.
• Room had an older worn feel to it. TV didn't work.

“Decent value for the price, older feel to the place but clean and I felt safe, about 4 blocks from Lancaster Gate tube (but it looked like this tube entrance will be closed in summer 2006), when I arrived the toilet was broken but the staff had someone there to fix within 5 minutes never got the TV to work right, close to Hyde Park.”
