  • Concierge service was superb; in room safes, robes appreciated; open atrium might bother people with acrophobia.
  • Only one sink; lighting in bath and in room was not good for applying make up; one needed to open drapes to get anything that approached true light.

“I am not a great fan of modern decor; however, I will overlook that in the Tribeca Grand. It was clean; the service --from the cleaning staff to the concierge-- was spectacular; the location is not to be believed. Stainless steel sink tops are not my favorite; but I will trade that any day for a staff that cares about, and knows, its clientele. Bravo!”

  • Well situated, elegant and very handy.
  • It was a little less of what I was expecting, a little noisy (air conditioner things) and no swimming pool.

“In the heart of TriBeCa, this hotel has it almost all. the decoration is a little retro and no swimming pool but besides that I really liked it. Not as fancy as what I was looking forward to but it was ok.”

“The hotel was excellent in every way. As mentioned in #15 about the noise but there was a noise diverter (or something) to turn on. It was elegant, clean, and nice. Thank you for making our stay (first stay I should say) in NYC so pleasant.”

  • Location and lobby architecture aesthetics.
  • Subway train noise in room.

“Just okay, not memorable, staff was suspect of my claims about the Subway noise from 2nd floor room, claimed that I was the first person to ever comment about that issue, which to me was ludicrous and insulting - but they said it politely. Required cleaning staff to re-do the room once I arrived, appeared that floors and counters could have been more thoroughly cleaned and my request for carpet shampooing prior to check-in had been ignored even though I asked for it a week early, but maintenance was kind enough to react quickly to that once I reminded them when I arrived. Overall, staff was friendly, the failure to alert ahead of time about possible subway noise during the night in the room on 2nd floor was the main drawback along with the front desk's refusal to acknowledge that as a known issue.”

  • It had a very classical, elegant theme. The front desk people were very friendly. The hotel was peaceful and quiet.

“We were greeted very friendly at the front. The staff was very friendly. We got our luggage quickly and the room location was very convenient. Although the room was too small for the price, I enjoyed my stay. The bathroom was very clean and I liked the setup, and the bed was comfortable. There could have been more lighting though.”

“Very convenient location if you want to be downtown; very close to Subway and Soho district. Modern, upscale decor; helpful staff. White noise generator (to mask traffic noise, which wasn't bad in any case) in room (with volume control) a unique touch. More Urban hotels should have it!”

  • I love the angles of the hotel. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies.
  • The workout facilities could be better. They need an Ab machine.

“The Tribeca Grand is perfectly situated for your time in New York. It's within easy walking distance of Little Italy and Chinatown and very close to the Lower East Side, the Village and Chelsea. The hotel itself is both modern and clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.”

  • The location, the lack of 24 hour parking around the hotel.

“Stayed here with my boyfriend for a 2 day getaway from Upstate New York (1 night overnight). I was very pleased with the service, cleanliness & the decor of the hotel. Not the best views from the room, but then again the hotel is only 8 storey high. Our breakfast was delicious. Everyone must try the Belgian Waffles! I would definitely stay at the hotel again.”

  • High energy industrial flair meets the surrounding neighborhood of Tribeca.
  • My room was not immune from the DJ playing late into Sunday morning.

“We enjoyed our stay realizing that this can be a meeting place and after hours rendezvous for the up and comers. The staff is very caring and service was wonderful. I would stay here again.”
