Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[3] • Location:[7]

  • It was clean and appeared classy.
  • Hotel staff was snobby & unfriendly. Bed was insanely uncomfortable. Did not accommodate my requests.

“I understand requests such as floor level, balconies, etc aren't guaranteed. However, it felt like there was no effort made to accommodate any of my simple requests. I would not recommend this hotel for any leisure traveler. The bed was really firm and uncomfortable and the hotel itself seemed more concerned with needs of the business traveler. We were not satisfied with our stay. At all.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[5]

  • Courteous staff.
  • Location.

“The rooms were clean and the restaurant satisfactory. The location was across the lake from downtown which meant that I had to drive to get anywhere rather than walk. The staff was friendly and very responsive.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Nice bar with friendly staff.
  • It was fine.

“Very friendly staff. Recently renovated - a bit over-masculine decor in the rooms I have had the past 2 times, but otherwise quite attractive.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Very nice rooms and friendly staff.
  • Parking for $11 per night. Guests should have free parking, simple.

“Nice beautiful hotel with moderately large rooms. The Atrium area looks very nice, especially when going up the clear window elevators. Staff was very friendly. The view was simply beautiful with the lake in front and downtown behind it. I believe all the rooms have a 32 inch flat screen TV, very nice. I wish I had stayed longer at this hotel instead of the Stephen F Austin Intercontinental, which wasn't bad, just small rooms and more vintage style.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Great atmosphere and attention to detail. Excellent front desk staff.
  • Check out time was unclear. Housekeeping knocked at around 8:15 am.

“Hyatt Regency in Austin was an experience in itself. There was a great attention to detail that came through in the way, the staff treated us and the way the room was set up. Everything was clean as well as comfortable. The atmosphere was one of luxury, yet the interactions with everyone there made us feel very comfortable and casual. The workout room was an added bonus that really made our stay.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Large room and bathroom.
  • I liked everything.

“Every thing was perfect from the bellman who welcomed us, check-in, and every time I was a hotel employee, they spoke and asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay better.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • I liked the location of the hotel.
  • I did not like how they charged for things.

“The hotel was beautiful, centrally located between the downtown scene and the bohemian S. Congress area of Austin. The room was decorated in a sophisticated contemporary style that my wife and I adore so much, (some hotels are still in the late 90's). The only things we did not like were the amenities that we had to pay for, that we never paid for in other 4 star hotel stays. For instance, the WiFi, we never had to pay for that before. Also, my wife and I went to have breakfast at one of the restaurants there that had an ok breakfast buffet, or brunch as they called it. It wasn't the best breakfast we've had, but when we got the bill we really woke up! $18.50 for one person, for that? I've never spent $40 for a mediocre breakfast buffet, not even at an expensive hotel! Bottom line, the location, and stay were great but the amenities were less then adequate.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Accommodating to our very late check-in after our wedding.
  • Parking was a distance from hotel.

“I went for our wedding night, since we will be going on our honeymoon later on in the month. I must say when I called and told them we would not be checking in until 1am the hotel staff was very accommodating. We were late risers and had one of the best brunches ever. If you just want a weekend getaway, the Hyatt is most certainly the place to be.”

  • Good location, attractive appearance, parking is convenient and reasonable.
  • Had no dislikes on this visit.

“This hotel is adjacent to the scenic walking/running paths of Town Lake, next to the Congress St bridge where the bats have a colony, and a few blocks from downtown and SoCo (Southern Comfort). Pool and exercise facilities are very good.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[6]

  • It was clean and nice and centrally located.
  • The hotel is on the other side of the river to the actual downtown and they nickel and dime you.

“It was a nice hotel, but more for business travelers. I expected it to be in the downtown area, it was on the river -- on the other side.”
