• Best buffet breakfast ever.
• Locating hotel from airport.

“Thought hotel was great and the breakfast buffet was worth every penny. Very nice lounge and bar area. Staff went out of their way to be accommodating to any request. We did get lost trying to locate hotel after arriving at the airport. Underground parking and plenty of room.”

• Well located to all activities in Austin.
• Nothing comes to mind.

“Very nice hotel and in a great location. Access to airport and downtown were all 10 minutes away. Food and shopping were across the highway less than 5 minutes away. Bathrooms were big and looked like they were renovated within the last year.”

• Consistent quality every stay. Clean, well appointed rooms, friendly staff and conveniently located. Plus free parking.
• No mini bar although there was a mini bar fridge for personal use.

“High quality hotel, immaculately clean, vibrant up to date decor, pleasant well -appointed rooms with granite counter tops, large screen TVs, free internet, prompt room service. Highly recommend.”

• No parking cost, 4 star quality rooms, very nice bar.
• Long walk to room, AC not very effective, water pressure is horrid.

“If there was a ranking of 3.5 starts this hotel would get it. Ideal for the self sufficient (free parking, no chirping bellman unless needed, no in room munchies temptations). The beds are top quality, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and efficient. The AC didn't make the room cold (but I like it freezing) and the water pressure barely rinses the soap off. But, those are minor. The bar is fantastic.”

• It was clean and basic, and they honored our room type request.
• The hotel staff was not as friendly as they could have been. The location of the hotel made it difficult to get to.

“The Austin Marriott Airport South is a traveler's hotel located just off of the Interstate. Unfortunately, it is on the east side of the highway, which makes it a pain to get to if you are coming from the north. We stayed there on a weekend that most of the hotels in Austin were booked, due to a large music festival and evacuees from Hurricane Rita being in town. I was very impressed that the hotel was still able to honor our request for a non-smoking King. However, the staff was visibly worn-out and not very friendly. I can't really blame them though, given the circumstances.”

• Friendly service was great. Loved the roomy bathrooms with toiletries. Felt safe parking in underground garage.
• Location was a little awkward but we found some back roads to get.

“Our hotel stay was great. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. They provided us maps of the city and offered to book us for an extended stay in case the weather was too bad to travel.”

• Good location and free parking made this a very convenient hotel for my purposes.
• Nothing stands out that was unpleasant. It would have been nicer to have a larger shower and bathroom in general. It was a little crowded for two.

“The lobby and public space was slightly below average for hotels in this category, I think, but the room was above average. Since I rarely spend much time in the public space, I was happy with this situation.”

• Construction made it impossible to get to off freeway, with a long detour, making it inconvenient

“The quality of the hotel is excellent. It is well worth the price. It would be convenient to DT Austin if it were not for construction on the exits, making it hard to get to from DT Austin.”

“There is no reason not to choose this hotel. Location, aminities, staff, and the room was top notch. We had to attend a conference the next day at a Hyatt Regency, paying twice the price and it couldn't even come close to the quality of the Marriott.”

• The Marriott was clean and well organized. The pool area had plenty of towels. We had an enjoyable stay!

“The Marriott was extremely clean. The staff was friendly...not just when we arrived. We felt at home. The kids enjoyed the pool area and the fitness room. This was our second stay at this particular hotel the first being a school business trip.”

• Very charming decor, clean, nice staff.

“We had a very good experience with this hotel. The staff was very friendly (all shifts) and they were very helpful as well. The pool was clean, but was indoors and on the second floor. They do have an outdoor sitting area for those who want to sun that's just next to the indoor pool for those who enjoy that.”

• The Satelite TV didnt work during rainy weather. Overly Firm Beds

“Pleasant experience besides the Satelite TV not working well during the rain. Most of the stations could not be accessed. The elevators were not well ventalated. If you need a firm bed this is the place to go. Just your average hotel!!”

• They could have provided extra towels. We kept running out, but they did bring us towells as soon as we called!
