• Lovely location, reasonable price, excellent breakfast, friendly, attentive staff.
• Parking was expensive.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the river front balcony. The staff was very helpful and our waiter at the restaurant was very courteous and attentive. We would love to go there again. Valet parking at $35 was a bit steep, but it would have been cheaper if we had parked the car ourselves.”

• I liked the bed sheets and the soft towels.
• I did not like the $22 a day parking.

“I enjoyed the Hilton Palacio del Rio very much. It was clean and conveniently located on the Riverwalk. I also enjoyed the little things like soft towels and premium bed sheets. There were plenty of pillows too. We ordered room service our last night at the hotel and the food was great. They also had kid friendly movies for order so we stayed in and had dinner and a movie night with our 2 and 4 year old.”

• Location - go out the back door and you're on the Riverwalk.
• Valet is very expensive compared to other 4 star on Riverwalk.

“Great staff, comfortable clean rooms. Valet is $35.50 + tax and not very speedy. Similar hotels in area are $20-25, and much faster getting your car.”

• The balcony was enjoyable to use and look out from.
• The normal price of the room seemed high for normal travelers.

• Right on the Riverwalk and within walking distance to many downtown attractions.
• The cost of the parking was expensive.

• I really liked the beds they were really comfortable and the sheets were nice.
• I did not like the service at the hotel. They need more employees. The phone is always busy.

“This hotel charges extra for everything. Most amenities that you take for granted in even 2 or 3 star hotels, you do not get at this hotel. Also they would not tell us an alternative to parking at the hotel. You pay for breakfast more than $15, you pay for parking more than $30 and you pay for an internet connection more than $10 per day. These are all amenities you get for free at even the Hampton. Also there were no complimentary chocolates, turndown service, milk and cookies, water, happy hour, etc. Nothing made me want to come back.”
