• Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms.
• The bathrooms are really small for a two queen size bed room. The view isn't that great.

“Great hotel for those who plan on being out at the Riverwalk or need close access to the city. The view isn't that great. The bathrooms are small for a 4 star hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the staff is very nice.”

• Great location, awesome pool, exotic birds on grounds.
• Room was a bit small, alarm clock next door went off at 2 a.m. for 20 minutes.

“Good place to relax for the weekend. Location was perfect, just off the Riverwalk.”

• Nice courtyard.
• Horrible service, not on the river walk.

“The appearance, grounds and rooms were nice. However from the valet, to the bartender to the front desk the service was terrible. No one seemed concerned that they had guests waiting.”

• Clean, quiet, far enough from Riverwalk to walk yet close enough for pleasant walk.
• The breakfast/lunch buffet overpriced for the quality of the food, restaurant too small.

“We really love staying at this hotel, we try to stay here every time we go to San Antonio, it's close enough to everything yet far enough to take an enjoyful walk and once in the hotel it's all peace and quiet with a lovely outdoors pool and hot tub.”

• The grounds, gardens, and pool area were lovely.
• It was several blocks from Riverwalk.

“We enjoyed our stay tremendously despite the initial disappointment of being several blocks from the Riverwalk. The hotel was very nice and relaxing. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, exercise room, and massage services. Our room was comfortable and clean but without any four-star frills. I believe 3 stars would better describe this hotel, but we would definitely stay there again.”

• Too few dinning room staff.

• Wish that there was a refrigerator in the room, Housekeeping did not replenish coffee supplies.

• I loved the beds and linens. Also, it was so nice having a balcony.
• $10 charge for internet and $21 charge for parking (free at nearby hotels).

“This hotel was conveniently located near the River (about a 2 block walk). It appeared to be in a very safe area. The staff was incredibly friendly. The rooms were very large and nice. I especially enjoyed the balcony, the Bath and Body Works bathroom products and the incredible beds and linens. There were 3 small drawbacks, 1) no mini-bar, 2) $10 internet access charge and 3) Parking was $21 (self) or $27 (valet). I would stay here again.”

• Parking staff was extremely rude, dirty bedding, dirty cups in room.

• Staff was very accommodating and they allowed pets.
• Price for parking was very high. Parking should be complimentary for hotel guests. Not $23.

“This hotel was within walking distance to the Riverwalk and Downtown San Antonio. The location was very calming and luxurious. The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. They are pet friendly and had a great customer service. The bar and restaurant was very nice and romantic and the food was great. The breakfast had extremely healthy options as well!”

• It was not a 4 star hotel.

• Cost verses quality, very expensive verses the quality of the facilities.

“No roll away bed, desk was about to collapse, beds were tiny. A/C was very obnoxious and bathroom door would jam and lock the person inside, if it would close at all.”

• I was not real crazy about the food from room service. Seemed some what bland.

“Just steps from the Riverwalk, the landscaping is beautiful. The staff was attentive and extremely nice. The pool area is incredible with free roaming peacocks and an attended bar. The rooms are nicely appointed, quiet and relaxing. Overall a great hotel experience.”

• Liked the location of the hotel. Parked car when arrived and able to walk to all attractions!
• Mildew in shower that was visible. Comforter dirty.

“Room was great. Location was great. Disappointed in housekeeping. Comforter on one of the beds was dirty. Lots of fresh mildew on the inside of shower curtain. Disappointing for a four star hotel - especially Marriott! Will not stay at this hotel again!”

• Very clean.
• Beds were too hard, lots of noise all night long.

“This is a good property for business travelers but I would not go there with my family again. The constant noise all night long from floor above and the street made it hard to stay asleep. $21 for self parking is too steep based on being located kind of across from property and not within it (sort of a scary walk late at night if you are alone). Water in the shower did not drain completely while showering. Definitively would not rate it as a 4 star property but 3 instead.”
