  • This hotel is great for the whole family.
  • The hotel is very expensive and then we had unexpected fees at checkout.

“Overall I was very impressed with the experience we had at the Hyatt Resort. It may be a little more expensive than some other places but they also offer a lot more than most places. My daughter loved the pool and smores each night. My only complaint would be that the resort hits you with a daily resort fee when you go to checkout that is not covered in your initial purchase.”

  • The grounds were beautiful. I especially enjoyed the spa. I will definitely spend more time there next time.
  • I did not like that we did find out about any of the events going on until the day we left. I wish they would have informed us of them.

“I enjoyed the hotel very much. I would stay an extra day to experience all the activities. Also, I think the brunch should stay open till at least noon. It closes at 11:30 and we got there five minutes late. There were other people who also wanted to have the buffet, who weren't able.”

  • Attractive location, great lazy river, the golf course. Plenty to do!

“This resort is outstanding! Very family friendly. Plenty to do here, float the lazy river, swim, complimentary bikes to ride, golf, various activities for the whole family. Just all around great.”

  • Separate adult swimming pool was great and pool/hot tub was great at night.
  • River pool not blue nor clear, internet access charge, family pool had sewer smell by outdoor cafe. Disappointed there was no henna tattoo available.

“It is a very nice place. Very family oriented. Lazy river is very relaxing when not crowded. Really need more lights in the river at night. I preferred the adult pool and hot tub, especially at night. The bikes are a nice activity to do. All in all it is a great place for a getaway.”

  • The pools are fabulous!
  • The food was mediocre in the main dining facility.

“This was an awesome place to visit! We brought our 22 month old son and he had a blast! The grounds are gorgeous, there is a lot to do. We enjoyed the horse drawn carriage ride thru the golf course, the movie on the lawn, the bike rentals, the kiddie swimming pool, the lazy river, and when the grandparents took our son for nap time we really enjoyed the Texas Pool which is adults only. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were immaculate. I highly recommend this for families wanting to spend some quality time together! We will eagerly await the day we get to come back! Thank you!”

  • Very nice hotel and the grounds are great for children or adults.
  • They added a 10.00 hotel & resort fee. Business trip. I stayed less than 24 hours.

“Nice Hotel. Excellent grounds. Pricey on food, parking etc. But great grounds for children or romantic adults.”

  • It's next to Sea World.
  • No free internet, everything costs extra ($4.50 for a bottle of cheap water) and $10 night EXTRA resort fee not included in purchase price.

“This is a VERY overpriced hotel. Everything that the hotel offers costs extra- even local phone calls ($.50 per call) and internet ($10 a DAY- not wireless.) Upon checkout, we discovered a $10 a day "resort fee" for the privilege of having so many spa options at hand- used or not. Forget room service- they have so many taxes and fees added on that a fruit plate will land you 20 bucks. Have seen better and more amenities at a Holiday Inn Express. For the listed $180 for their cheapest room, this place is a real rip-off.”

  • Fantastic getaway, beautiful location, great food and services.
  • You should know there is a resort fee of 10$ per day. A good deal, but don't be surprised.

“The Hyatt Hill Country is a great Texas tradition for people all around the State. Families, couples, business groups gather for the beautiful location, Lazy river and resort activities, golf and spa. Right by Sea World, you may never leave the resort. Movies on the lawn and assisted smokes on the beach. This is living.”

  • Activities for the family, biking & hiking trail was awesome , very peaceful atmosphere & loved the lazy river.
  • Not enough middle sized bikes.

“My husband and I love to travel with our children, this resort was magnificent. We usually camp in Texas and stay in resorts in the Caribbean. Now that we found a resort like this in Texas, our Spring Break will be spent here instead of a 5 hour flight away. We may not of discovered your fabulous resort. We'll definitely be back.”

  • It was very peaceful.
  • The location was a little far away too maybe that's what made it peaceful.

“This was a nice hotel, but mostly for family looking to go to the San Antonio Sea World, and for those looking too play golf and to rest. Other than that, there was not much else to do in the area.”

  • I was not unsatisfied with anything.

“Beautiful grounds and a lovely restaurant (Antler's Lodge) made this experience fantastic for my husband's 40th birthday.”

  • Clean room, friendly helpful staff, very convenient for Sea World.
  • There is an additional resort fee of $10 automatically added to your bill.

“For my travel, I arrived at 10 PM and left immediately the next morning and didn't do anything at the hotel but sleep and shower. You still must pay the resort fee, it is automatic and inescapable.”

  • Nice Views.

“It is a little out of the way, so there are not many options for dinning near by except for fast food. Upon checkout we were charged a $10.00 resort fee which had not previously been disclosed for facilities we would not be using.”

  • The amenities, which include a man made river, several pools and beautiful landscapes and scenery are extraordinary.
  • When I checked in the hotel presented me with an unexpected $10.00 resort fee.

“The amenities at this hotel are unparallel.”

  • Great for kids! Very beautiful with lots of character!
  • Billing!! They double charged us constantly.

“Loved the actual hotel. Billing was an issue though. At end they charged to our debit card two charges totaling over $500 for "deposits". When we called to inquire they stated they would hold our money for up to 10 days. Check your bill they double charged on several items. On meals that we paid with cash they would charge our room as well. This happened on several times. Too bad because the resort is absolutely gorgeous!”
