Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • Beautiful lobby, very clean room and bathroom. Nice workout room, too.
  • The pool and Jacuzzi was very blah looking and small, and needed some tropical plants in planters or some extra touch to be inviting.

“A little tricky to find, so follow directions carefully, but safe, very clean and good value. Also, has nice restaurants available to walk to across the street.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Comfy beds, warm cookies on check-in, free WiFi in lobby.
  • Wedding on Saturday night prevented us from parking in the downstairs lot.

“Centrally located for our purposes. Easy access to freeway. Slept great on those very comfortable beds (I'd suggest higher thread-count sheets for an exquisite experience, but I know I'm a diva). Although I expected to billed $14/night for parking, they waived that fee (possibly because it was a holiday weekend and they weren't full). I didn't complain!”

  • Very nice upscale.
  • NA.

“Overall good except for toilet paper. I went to the front desk and they said they did not have it there but would send it up. I waited 1 hour then called the front desk and was told it would be up shortly I left the next morning never receiving the toilet paper.”

  • Great location, great rooms.
  • Nothing.

“This was a great hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms are nice, very clean. We love Doubletrees!”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[1] • Location:[7]

  • Good location to freeway and airport and free good chocolate cookies.
  • Not enough staff, no housekeeping at night, stuffy in the room. AC does not work well.

“This hotel has good location because it is very close to the airport and freeways. However, the staffing and room comfort are just horrible. The room was extremely stuffy. The air conditioning did not work well at all. The room smelled like mildew. I could not sleep all night because I could not breath. Anyways, it was not comfortable and pleasure experience at this hotel.”

  • Close to pool/spa/fitness.
  • Had to pay for parking.

“Nice area, clean upscale rooms, good cookies, looks good for large parties with banquet rooms, felt safe and very comfortable.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • The location was good.
  • There was not enough parking space and it was chargeable.

“Every time they came to clean the room they would turn the AC off. So after a day at the beach we were faced with a hot room. They charge a fee to park, which we were not informed of until we drove 480 miles to get there. There were not enough parking spaces for the hotel. There was a soccer team, a volleyball team and a engagement party all at one time, so I think they over booked themselves. Twice we had to park on the street. I will not ever stay there again. I was absolutely disappointed in the hotel and the whole experience there.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • The cookies at check-in were awesome. Beds were comfy.
  • Parking fee.

“Hotel was very clean and comfortable and room was a decent size. Warm delicious cookies at check-in are great. Did not particularly care for the $12 a day parking or for the fact that at check-in I asked for a room with a view and I got a view alright - a view of the roof of another building.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The location and friendly staff.
  • Having to pay $14.00 for parking.

“I would recommend this hotel because of its closeness to john Wayne airport and family attractions in orange county.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • The cookies were a nice touch.
  • I did not like that we had to pay for parking. Parking should have been free.

“The hotel was great. It was clean and comfortable. It's location was convenient. The only thing that I didn't like was having to pay for parking. A parking pass should have been provided for free.”

  • Ran out of hot water in the morning for my shower.

“Nice, friendly staff. Very clean.”

  • Room service. The food was wonderful.
  • For nearly an entire day there was no hot water.

“The hotel is nice but there was no hot water for nearly an entire day. It was a huge inconvenience. The hotel staff attempted to make up for it but in my opinion they did not do enough. Also, they sent a male engineer to my room without telling me in advance. He was supposed to check the water temperature. He knocked despite the fact that I had a do not disturb sign on the door.”

  • Loved the open air pool and Jacuzzi.
  • The business center was to small, and to many pay to use computers.

“I only stayed at this hotel for the night while I was waiting for my flight in the morning. The hotel is located only 5 minutes from the airport, and it is a very beautiful place. Very clean, staff was helpful, and the room service had a great deal of non overpriced items. I would certainly love to come back again.”

  • Free water for honors members.
  • $14 per day for parking.

“Avoid this hotel. These people are jerks. Free airport shuttle stops running at 10:30. I turned in my rent-car at the airport at 11:30 and called the hotel. They said I could either wait six hours at the airport until the shuttle starts running again, or I could walk two miles to the hotel. I chose to walk two miles in the middle of the night, but this is not the way a hotel should treat a guest.”

  • That I had to pay for a parking, and there was not an empty parking spot available.
  • The staff is very dishonest.

“Stay away from this hotel if you value you or your family's lives. They have a habit a giving your room key to others. So if you stay there, there is a chance that you might wake up in the middle of the night with someone standing by your bed. Never send your kids up to the room by themselves, someone other then hotel staff might be in the room. Both of these things happened when we stayed the night. I had to pay 14 dollars for a parking, and there was not an empty parking spot available. I took a cold shower in the morning, no hot water. They gave me some free breakfast cards to use, but we did use them. I just wanted out.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Location is fabulous, staff was friendly, attractive public area.
  • Did not have hot water in the shower 2 of my 4 days, parking inadequate, elevators were painfully slow.

“This is my second stay at the Double Tree and I want to like it, but can't. For the second stay in a row, the hotel is woefully inconsistent. Some days everything is great; others not. I didn't have hot water 2 of my 4 days there, they put me in a smoking room with double beds, so I had to be moved, some of the staff is great, others look like it's a job. One of the staff members tried to charge me for their free chocolate chip cookies. On the other hand, the location is fantastic, the lobby area was beautiful, but the parking is inadequate, and the elevators are painfully slow. I'd prefer not to stay at this hotel again.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[2]

  • Great bed, comfortable room.
  • TV did not work, no hot water.

“Basically a decent business traveler's hotel, not really located near much of anything useful. Both the television and a lack of hot water on the 2nd day were problems, but there was no apology of help forthcoming from the hotel staff. In general, the staff did not seem very customer-oriented.”
