  • Plenty of restaurants.
  • This was a smoking hotel. Pool was closed.

“The room was very nice and the staff helpful although not always knowledgeable. Lots of restaurant choices. I wouldn't feel safe walking around the streets, skybridge to parking garage. Pool is seasonal and closes very early by 7 p.m. minimum.”

  • Common areas were very nice.
  • The air conditioner did not keep the room cool.

“The common areas of this hotel were very nice. The buffet was ok and our room would not cool below 75 degrees. I am not excited to return.”

“Visit and enjoy. Great accommodations friendly, fun and great access to other casinos. Lots to do just wish the slots were looser.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[6] • Location:[5]

  • Nice from the outside.
  • They treat us as second class citizens.

“We will not stay here again. At best it's a 2-star.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The people were very friendly.
  • The pool and hot tub were not very nice. Would have liked free internet, better in-room coffee service, and exercise facilities.

“It was conveniently located and provided the essentials. The staff is very friendly.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Lots of choice, great location, friendly staff.
  • Slightly tacky décor.

“If you're looking for the full casino experience, you can't beat the El Dorado - giant casino floors, and the tacky decor to match. Friendly staff and surprisingly good food - esp. coffee make it a perfect stopping off point in Reno - convenient to airport and Downtown Reno as well as major highways.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

“This was a great casino hotel. I would stay again.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • The location in Downtown Reno was great, was near everything I could want and need.
  • No mini fridge for any leftovers of food.

“This hotel was at a great location, they are connected to two other casino/hotels and walking distance of other restaurants, shops, and theater. Great for gambling and short business trips. Not someplace for a family with children.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Location.
  • Room location from lobby area, too far.

“Good stay overall. Water pressure for showers was very weak. Too noisy in hallways, room could be quieter.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Great location and good restaurants in Casinp!
  • We wanted to go to Brew Brothers, but the kitchen closes at 9:00 pm!

“Hotel in good location! Convenient parking, friendly service, plenty of elevators etc. Room was clean and we had an amazing view! Right next to the famous Biggest Little City in the World! Sign. Had nice dining options, however, most of the kitchens close at 9:00 pm. But early for being in a 24hr casino. Still found an excellent restaurant that served just about everything!”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • Casino.
  • Different levels of accommodations.

“This Casino hotel has an older sierra tower and newer towers. Our first room, in the Sierra tower, overlooked the roof of the casino. Upon calling the desk, we were offered a view of the pool or downtown. We had a room overlooking downtown. The beds were older, the room was small, overall a decidedly 2 star room.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • Its location.
  • The room did not look like a deluxe room. It was not attractive.

“We had dinner in one of the restaurants in the hotel. Service was pathetic. It took so long for them to serve the order. The brunch in the chef's buffet inside the hotel was also very poor. When I called for room service for some hot coffee they said it will take 1/2 hr!”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Breakfast buffet was great One of the best I've had.
  • Rooms need updating. Mold on ceiling in room needs to be taken care of.

“It's a perfectly fine hotel. The rooms need updating.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • Would not give us an adjoining room request until there, then didn't have any. Unfriendly waitresses in hotel's Tivoli Restaurant.

“Very enjoyable, friendly (except in one restaurant), clean, and very quick to respond to room requests. I was traveling with 3 elderly relatives and the hotel would not give us adjoining rooms until we requested onsite. But of course, they had none once we were there. We were in an adjoining room, but had strangers next door. Also, the guard one night let 6 people on the elevator without checking pass keys, so we got off and complained.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[6]

  • Location.
  • Dated.

“Location great, but needed updating. A 70's hotel that still had older carpet, room doors, etc. Hotel was ok, but nothing I would try to book again.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Located conveniently.
  • The staff at the hotel was wonderful, the surrounding restaurants left much to be desired in terms of the quality of the service.

“The Eldorado is simply beginning to look old and smoke stained. Everything seems to have a bit of a I need a face lift look to it in my opinion. Everything smells like smoke smoking room or not. I think that negotiation around the hotel is difficult but I guess that is the best way to keep people gambling.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[7]

  • Close to other casinos, where I will stay in the future.
  • The rooms smelled bad and were in poor shape. Peeled paint, broken tile etc.

“My room smelled like sewage. The room was old and in poor repair. Paint coming up in the bathroom. I rented 4 rooms for friends; we all felt a Motel 6 would have been better. The rooms were not even close to 4 stars as advertised.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • The price and location that is close to the University of Reno, Nevada.
  • The room and sheets stunk like cigarette smoking.

“We have stayed here before because of the location. This trip our room stunk like cigarettes.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[5]

  • Nice bathroom, good view from 9th floor.
  • Excessive internet connection charges for wireless laptops and no coffee maker in the room.

“The hotel offers a wide range of restaurants. Staff was polite. I was not pleased by their charges for wireless internet access. Wireless access is often free at hotels. That cost less. A four star hotel should provide coffee makers and wireless access in the room for free.”
