• The view across the water from the room at sunset and the convenient location.
• As a business traveler I don't appreciate having to pay for internet access.

“The Edgewater Hotel is located on a pier in downtown Seattle. From what I could see, half of the rooms face the water with wonderful views. My room was well appointed with a king bed, fireplace, desk, large screen TV. The bathroom had a walk-in shower instead of a tub. I only ate breakfast at the restaurant, but the service was good and the food great and reasonably priced.”

• Loved the restaurant, eating on the deck was wonderful.
• Trains pass by at night, you can hear them go by if you are on the southern side of the hotel.

“The hotel was beautiful. I loved the restaurant, the bar food was great and eating on the deck on a warm night.”

• Nice view from the lobby windows.
• Mismatched door handles in the bathroom, ratty looking bear footstool.

“Would never pay rack rates for this hotel. Red walls in bathroom did not compliment the tones of the lovely stone tiles. Hallways and stairwells are dingy.”

“Great Hotel restaurant and bar, however it is very expensive. The setting is gorgeous. If you have opportunity to pay for an upgraded room, it is worth it!”

• Extremely clean. Comfortable bedding. Great service.
• The only breakfast they offered on Sunday was a 35 dollar buffet. We just wanted some simple eggs. Way too pricy. Should offer something less.

“Great hotel. Loved the room. Comfortable, clean. A little pricy, but it is an upscale hotel. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Late check out time was a bonus.”

• Great waterfront location and wonderful restaurant/bar.
• The rooms are miniscule and the general condition of walls, carpets etc in the hotel is marginal.

“Wonderful place to stay if you love the waterfront and don't plan to spend any time in your room. The room is really too small for a couple. The bed was very uncomfortable and the walls not very well insulated for noise. It is very convenient to the waterfront.”

• The fire places, large bathrooms and water front view.
• The overall space inside the room and no microwaves and TV selection.

• When I checked out.
• Unfriendly staff, loud housekeeping, kept me awake all night. Bad parking.

“I was met with very unfriendly front desk attendants, rude and lacking customer service. I was awake all night with the loud noises coming from the front area and then the housekeeping came in and from 3 AM on it was screeching carts and slamming doors and loud chatter in the laundry area and the carts. Rolling across the tile floor. Forget the sleep. The happiest I was, is when I checked out. I went to another hotel and sleep finally! Everything that this Sleep Inn hotel wasn't friendly, peaceful and professional!”

• Beautiful views from both water -side balconies, and from lobby.
• Rooms are small. No pool. Gym is very small.

“Perfect location on a pier on the waterfront. Hotel is old and you can tell, despite renovations. Nonetheless, it is nice and I would stay there again. We could see a seal catching fish in Elliot Bay from our balcony.”

• Hotel location is amazing and the views are great. If you party your only 4 blocks from the party.
• The bar and restaurant closed a little early for my taste and the valet parking was a little pricy.

“This hotel is very nice, right on the bay, and very close to food and some very exciting night life. The bathrooms are beautiful.”

• Small fitness room, no pool.

“Very nice. If you're going on a cruise, specifically NCL, this is an awesome place to stay. We played cards in the cozy lobby and just sat and looked out at the water from their picture windows. Loved it.”

• The view of the sound was spectacular.
• It smelled a bit damp or musty. It is an old hotel that they have done their best to refurbish.

“Good location. Nice staff. Lovely view. However I immediately smelled an odor that reminded me of a damp basement. The musty smell was everywhere. They have done their best to cover it. It is not overwhelming, but it lowered my overall opinion of the hotel.”

• Being on the water, the lobby and lounge, restaurant have beautiful water views. Fireplace in room was great.
• No parking for visiting guests when busy time. The lounge seating was not good for conversation.

“The hotel is a lot nicer inside then its outside appearance. Rooms were a little on the small side but the views on the water side were great and the fire place made up for space. Enjoyed the outside balcony as well. Hotel personnel were friendly.”

• The room was smaller than our cruise cabin.

“This is the first 4 star hotel I stayed at that had the smallest room, we were tripping over ourselves and had no room for luggage. There are no other amenities such as Jacuzzi, pool or spa.”

• Room balcony over Elliott Bay Seattle was romantic.
• All good.

“For a romantic getaway, an Oceanfront room at the Edgewater in Seattle cannot be beat. I heartily recommend this hotel for location, (Pike St. Market, downtown Seattle, Space Needle, etc), Accommodations, and Service. Again, for a romantic getaway with your spouse, stay at the Edgewater in Seattle.”

• Good location for NCL cruise.
• Train runs all night so impossible to sleep.

“The hotel has a great location for anyone cruising off pier 66. The location is also good for walking around to different parts of town. If you plan on sleeping here, forget it. There is a commercial train which runs outside the windows which makes it impossible to get a nights rest. Not much fun getting woken up every hour or two with the sound of screeching tracks and train horns. The star rating is way off with 4 stars. Glorified motel!”
