“Great place to stay if you want to shop. Park across the street at the Stockton street garage. Much cheaper!”

“This is an excellent place right in the hart of Downtown San Francisco, first class all the way. I travel on a very tight budget and these extra hidden fees are hard to plan for.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Great hotel, great room, great price, great location.
  • Seemed to be a hum in the room possibly due to the building air mechanics.

“Great hotel, great room, great price, great location in a great city. The room was very comfortable and the view was beautiful.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Hotel staff was really friendly.
  • Room amenities not fully stocked (that is conditioner, toothpaste, coffee not in room by downstairs lobby).

“Overall quaint small room. Comfortable beds. Room amenities were not fully stocked and the coffee was downstairs where you had to get yourself, which was a bother.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[2] • Location:[9]

  • Location.
  • Unknowledgeable staff, ripped carpet, city view rooms, no pool/Jacuzzi, parking.

“Great location in Union District. There was no pool or Jacuzzi though. The desk staff was not very helpful when I asked them many questions. When we asked how to get to the Mission District, he told us to get on the Muni and it should have been the Bart. If he really did not know, he should not have told us, also he should know the general directions to the different districts since he is at the front desk and I am sure we could not have been the only ones who ever asked how to get somewhere. Also, once we figured it out, it is really simple and it should not have been hard for him to know simple areas since he lived there.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Nice hotel located within a block of Union Square.
  • Smaller rooms than other similar hotels in the area.

“This hotel is conveniently located within a block of Union Square. It is nicely maintained and the rooms are newer, clean and comfortable. We requested a higher floor and got an awesome view of the high rise buildings in the Financial District as well as Coit Tower. The staff here are super friendly and helpful with your questions. I would definitely stay here again.”

  • Great location.
  • Non-smoking rooms were on the lower floors.

“Great location, clean room, good front desk and valet service. Parking was very expensive ($55 per night); found something 4 blocks away for a weekend rate of $12 per night.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • Great location, right off of Union Square.
  • Room fixtures were a little old, but clean.

“Great location, right off of Union Square, so great for shopping, dining. Staff was very accommodating- let us switch to a non-smoking room, no questions asked. Valet was expensive, park at the Stockton Garage up the street.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Great location, close to Union Square!
  • Parking prices were absurd. Do not valet!

“Hotel is nice and clean, but the rooms looked a little out dated for a supposed 4 star hotel. The Hyatt is in a great location which is close to great shopping and restaurants. My biggest complaint is parking. The valet is almost $60 a night.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Location was great.
  • Parking fee was high ($50.00 plus tax). Was hoping that the concierge would have been more experienced with restaurants in North Beach.

“Front desk person was friendly and accommodated our wishes for a room. Starbucks is right across the street which made it very convenient for a quick breakfast.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Location, express check in/out counters.
  • The interior is a bit outdated compared to other 4-star hotels. I expected better, since it's grand Hyatt.

“Excellent location, comfortable rooms, but wished that they provide free Wi-Fi connection.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Liked the shower, comfy bed, view, overall quietness, pleasant staff.
  • Coffee maker but no coffee cups. Intermittent flapping wire noise in wall.

“The staff was very pleasant and accommodating in letting me check in a bit early and finding me a room on a higher floor, on a busy Labor Day weekend. Overall, the location on Union Square is hard to beat. For breakfast, service at the restaurant's top floor was exemplary.”
