• The staff was very friendly and accommodating in requests.
• This hotel was being remodeled and it was supposed to be done before we got there and there was no AC (during summer time) until our last day.

“The hotel is in a great location and was very clean. They were in the middle construction so that is the only reason that we did not enjoy our stay. The rooms did not have AC service the entire trip and it was still summer time. However, the staff was very nice and welcoming and did their best to make the best of the situation.”

• Rooms were beautiful.
• Some valet staff was horrible.

“I would recommend this hotel to single travelers and couples only. The staff was very friendly, with the exception of 2 valets that left a terrible impression. The rooms were beautiful and very well appointed. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Union Square.”

• Loved the location, it was being renovated at the time so we did not get the full experience. I will definitely go back once it is finished.
• Under construction, but it was not bothersome or a real problem, just the lobby and other main areas were blocked off.

“This hotel is turning into a modern, hip retreat. The rooms are great, the location is awesome. You are right in the center of everything if you are looking for the tourist attractions. I would recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there again.”

• The room was clean.
• Under construction.

“The hotel was under construction so it was ok. They didn't have a refrigerator in the room and the maid woke me up at 9:45 to give me a warm bottle of water! which I didn't ask for. they didn't have a sitting area where you could have a glass of wine or just relax. if it had all of that it would of been a nice place to stay. it just wasn't want I expected when I place the order.”

• New decor very luxurious in rooms-great sheets.
• Under construction-long walks to elevators.

• The staff was very friendly and professional.
• Undergoing renovations, room was very small and poorly laid out.

“The hotel is undergoing renovations and it's hard to tell the new parts from the old. They are going for a colorful, floral, retro look that is very 70's Best Western Hotel. Maybe not the best for a 4-star hotel. The room was very small with a hodge-podge of excessive furniture. The small bathroom was poorly lit and the tiny closet space was eaten up by the complimentary bathrobes and ironing board. On the plus side - the location is good and the staff was great.”

• No gym access in hotel.

• Rooms were upscale and recently redone.
• Would have preferred slightly different location.

“Hotel is undergoing some renovation, but rooms were redone and very upscale. Hotel is in heart of downtown San Francisco, several blocks up the hill from Union Square and shopping.”

• Friendly staff, clean area, & clean rooms.
• They do not have wireless internet which is very strange to me.

“Overall experience is good. Great helping staff, fast room service, and clean environment. The business center is very small (like 2 computes) & tiny space. They also charge for using their computer. The location is close enough to Fishman's Warf and easy access to public transportation.”

• The champagne service from 5-6 was wonderful.
• It was under construction.

“The Renaissance Stanford is position perfectly in Nob Hill and neighbors luxurious hotels like the Fairmont. By far the customer services stands out as the best feature of this hotel. Everyone was extremely helpful and seemed to genuinely care about your stay. While the hotel was under construction, one can see that this hotel has great promise. The rooms were on par with all Renaissance hotels and the champagne service was wonderful. Lastly, the concierge, was the embodiment of the hotel's commitment to excellence.”

“I was disappointed in the hotel. Not what I thought it would be for a 4 star hotel. The room was very small, no double beds were available and we had 4 adults. Roll away was uncomfortable. Air mattress had a hole in it, also uncomfortable.”

“When I checked in I was told I had a queen bed for 4 people. I was told there was no more room in the hotel to accommodate my parry of 4. After asking for the manager we were given a larger room with 2 cots. Loud noise outside from cable cars all night.”

• The lobby and facilities are being remodeled.

“Stanford Court is a nice hotel in a good area (Nob Hill) but it's being remodeled and even the remodeled rooms don't justify a 4 Star rating. The hotel just doesn't have the amenities for 4 Stars but the price was decent for the location.”

• Concierge was very helpful and rooms were very clean and comfy.
• No ice machine and charge for internet.

“We had a great time at the Stanford Court. Everyone was courteous and helpful. There is construction at the hotel that was noisy late in the afternoon one day.”

• I loved the bed linens and that it was located on all three cable car lines.
• Being remodeled, but it has to happen sometime!

“It was incredible and I am so glad that we stayed there. It was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. The staff was very friendly and willing to give suggestions. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable!”
