Puerto Deportivo El Abra-Getxo
Nov 18, 2008 by Paul from Southampton, UK
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Bars, restaurants, beach, shops, nearby towns and aquarium.
  • The weather in November 2009!

“We cruised our sailing boat round France, across Biscay and into Getxo in early October 2008 and have left our yacht there for the winter. The marina staff speak very little English and if you don't at least try to speak Spanish (or Basque) they will not appear to be very helpful. However if you do try they make a great effort and we were able to discuss the alternatives in Spanglish and agree a package for the winter. As a marina Getxo is first class, with clean facilities and ample hot water, free washing machine and tumble dryer (the latter was broken in Oct/Nov 2008), free water and electricity on the pontoons and good security by way of locked access gates and perimeter gates. The staff patrol day and night to enhance security further. As a destination Getxo is great too. The waterside has a 2,000 seat cinema complex, numerous restaurants and bars, a fast-food court, shops, free WiFi in a number of the bars, marine businesses, nautical clothing outlets, an aquarium etc. It is next to the beach and has level walks to Las Arenas for an even greater selection of shops, bars and restaurants plus the impressive Biscaia Bridge. It is a short 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro station for the underground service to Bilbao itself, some 10 km away. We rate Getxo highly and are looking forward to returning there in May 2009.”

Tibidabo
Oct 12, 2008 by juanita from arnaudville
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Like no other view I've had.
  • The shop and restrooms were closed, but it was Christmas day!

“The view was priceless and before our descent, the sun started setting. It was breath-taking and absolutely amazing! from one side you get a remarkable view of the city and from the other you get a beautiful mountainous landscape.”

Puerto Banus
Jan 1, 2008 by Mohammed from Kuwait
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • The restaurants and cafes had a really nice atmosphere.
  • Nothing negative.

“Puerto banus is an amazingly beautiful place to go to especially in the summer. It has cafes, restaurants, bars, and pubs. I stayed at the Benabola hotel apartments. The apartment view was straight onto the port where all the action took place. Puerto banus' nightlife never ends. All the people are friendly. As a tourist, I encourage you to go there and have fun. .”

L'Hemisferic
Oct 16, 2006 by Luis
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • A great building designed by Santiago Calatrava.
  • Tickets may be a little expensive.

“L'Hemisferic is an IMAX cinema (over a 900 square meters of screen). The building was designed by Santiago Calatrava. It has the shape of an eye, and is reflected 24.000 square meters lake. The cover of the cinema looks like the eye lips of the eye, and can be closed or opened. If you want to see more pictures, ”
